When hitting the gym or the great outdoors for a good sweat session, it’s important to dress for the occasion. Comfort and functionality should be of the utmost importance when selecting great workout clothes. The good news is there are so many brands out there that offer these qualities, while also offering fitness gurus a chance to flaunt their fashion sense as they work out! Here we take a look at some of the season’s top fashion trends in fitness wear:
Crop it Like it’s Hot — Cropped tees, tanks, hoodies, and light jackets are all the rage this transitional season into spring and summer. Rocking a crop allows for free movement and allows wearers to show off toned tummies. Wrap style and tied-detail crops are super cute for the warmer weather Try this combined with another trend of the season — the mock turtle neck — in either a sports bra or a cropped style top.
Reach for the High — High-waisted leggings are in this season and that’s a good thing for many reasons. First, they pair perfectly with the crop top that’s hot this season, plus high-waisted leggings provide support and almost a natural “tummy tuck.” They are slimming too, look for ones with dramatic seams or vertical lines along the outer side.
What’s Bold is New Again — Some of the season’s most popular colors include bright hues such as tangerine orange, bright blues, and rich grape purples. Be bold and rock some bright blue or purple pants. For those that prefer their boldness in small doses, look for fitness wear with hints and accents of these popular spring hues.
To Tie-Dye For — Tie-dye is making a comeback and appearing in fitness wear in everything from leggings, to tops, to sets, and more. For those are all about peace, love, and 60s’ flare, now’s the time to rock this timeless trend.
Mesh — The 80s called and it’s sending us an updated version of the mesh trend! Whether rocking a light mesh jacket for a brisk morning walk or round of tennis, to selecting some pants with some sexy peek-a-boo accents, mesh athleisure is all over the place this season — in and outside of the gym!
Florals — For a more romantic vibe, florals in fitness gear are popular as the season blooms to life! Whether you chose large florals or itty bitty buds, flowery patterns are popping up everywhere this spring.
Go for the Green — Extending eco-conscious living to the fitness fashion world, eco-conscious activewear and athleisure is all the rage — and, the future is green. Mono B Green, a fashionable fitness collection features new eco-conscious activewear constructed from 100 percent certified recycled polyester or 100 percent certified recycled nylon combined with Lycra or spandex.
