Las Vegas is about to get a whole lot more interesting. If you thought Sin City’s over-the-top glitz and glamour was already almost too much to bear, then you’re going to be in for a big surprise come later this week when CityCenter Las Vegas, the most expensive privately funded construction project in U.S. history, opens to the public. Not just a new place to shop, gamble and vacation, CityCenter will also be a brand new place for Vegas-goers to live, with three very different but all very luxe condo options. And, although CityCenter is a highly anticipated construction project, no chances are being taken in this economic climate it seems, as CityCenter has already announced a 30 percent price reduction on all three future residences.

The Mandarin Oriental will be the first new hotel to open in this 67-acre city-within-a-city. While the Mandarin Oriental Hotel is slated to open on Dec. 4, The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, which will house 227 luxury condominiums, are scheduled to begin closing with potential buyers in January, 2010. The Residences at Mandarin Oriental were designed by the internationally acclaimed firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and were made to complement the desert surroundings as well as the Vegas skyline. In terms of interior design, various colors, textures and materials can be chosen to create a condo that’s all your own.

The second resident opportunity at CityCenter is in Veer Towers, CityCenter’s only purely residential project. Closings are projected to begin in Veer Towers in February, 2010. Veer Towers includes two 37-story glass towers that are both inclined at a five degree angle. Designed by Helmut Jahn, Veer Towers will offer 335 modern condominium opportunities, right in the heart of Vegas.

Last but certainly not least, the Vdara Condo Hotel closings are set to begin in March 2010. This 57-story condo hotel will offer residents the perfect balance of luxury resort and Vegas nightlife opportunities, as it will be only a short walk away from Bellagio and ARIA Resort & Casino, but inside it will offer practical yet beautiful floor plans, as well as the onsite holistic spa and wellness center, Vdara Health & Beauty. Inside, Vdara will offer an array of studios, junior suites and penthouses, which will be available on floors 54-56 and offers approximately 919 square feet and sweeping views.

Not only are the CityCenter hotels and residences about to embark upon a new level of luxury, Vegas-style, but they are also doing it with an earth-friendly approach. It was recently announced that CityCenter has earned six Leed Gold certifications for their hotels, retail options and residences.
