It’s now a well-known fact that Paradise Valley is one of the priciest zip codes in the country. The prestigious 85253 zip inched up to 50th place this year with a median home sale price of $2,175,000.
On the flip side, analysts at Point2 set out to discover a homebuyer’s holy grail: the least expensive homes in the most expensive zip codes.
At the time of this writing, what the report found was an asking price of just $274,900 for an apartment in Paradise Valley located at 6885 E. Cochise Road, despite the median sale price in the area being over $2 million.
In comparison, in the second and third most expensive zip codes in the U.S.—Boston’s 02199 and Sagaponack’s 11962—the two least expensive homes currently on the market boast asking prices below $1.5 million.
At the other end, the lowest-priced properties in Calabasas, CA’s 91302, and Laguna Beach, CA’s 92651 display asking prices lower than $200,000.
