As a part of The Giving Back Fund’s (GBF) annual Big Game Big Give Super Bowl charity event, the last available penthouse at Silverleaf’s exclusive ICON development will be auctioned off with at least $1 million going back to GBF and other charities during the star-studded party on Saturday, February 11.
Designed by nationally and internationally sought-after architect Bing Hu, the ICON penthouse will enter the auction with an opening bid of $10.5 million as one of the highest-priced auction items to ever go up for bid at an Arizona charity event.
The $1 million-plus donation will go directly to The Giving Back Fund and its efforts in national and global philanthropic advancement, as well as the Justin J. Watt Foundation and The Vincere Foundation founded by Scottsdale’s Dr. Pablo Prichard to advance cutting-edge technology in firefighter and first responder cancer prevention, early detection and treatment.
“I am thrilled to be able to bring our beautiful penthouse, and all it offers, to the LIVE Auction at Big Game Big Give,” says Hu. “When we heard about this event and the benefactors, we were excited to jump in. Finding the right buyer for this one of a kind penthouse was very important to us. And we are excited to be able to donate at least a $1 million back to this incredible cause. As a cancer survivor myself, I admire everything the Giving Back Fund and particularly the Vincere Foundation is doing in the area of cancer research and treatment. They are making a difference in the lives of Firefighters and First Responders.”
Located within the prestigious and private Silverleaf golf community, the masterfully designed ICON penthouse is scheduled to be completed in the next 18 months and will offer 6,288 square feet of indoor space and 7,200 square feet of outside space on a private roof-top terrace. The property can be designed and tailored with custom amenities, including intricate landscaping, an outdoor kitchen and bar, private swimming pool and more.
The home will feature four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, a den, media room, wine cellar and bar, 10” plank wood flooring, custom walnut cabinets, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances and other expertly-designed concepts by award-winning, published interior designer Misty Cowan.
Big Game Big Give starts at 6 p.m. and will be held on the 5-acre private estate of Dr. Pablo Prichard in Paradise Valley. Recently retired NFL Star J.J. Watt, the man considered to be one of the greatest defensive linemen of all time, and the 2017 Sports Illustrated and Walter Payton Man of the Year, will co-host the party alongside Actor and Comedian Anthony Anderson. Other special experiences at the event will include a special performance by Grammy-nominated, singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw, an underwater art experience by Christy Lee Rogers, flaming metal art sculptures by Sean T French, a fashion show honoring Arizona firefighters curated by ArtxShanna, and more.
