With the construction business booming in Arizona, we sat down recently with Anthony J. Salcito, Jr., president of Salcito Custom Homes, Ltd. and Salcito Construction, Inc. to learn more about the business his family has been doing in the state for decades. Here’s what we learned.
How long have you been building and designing homes in Arizona?
My business is built on a family legacy that spans nearly five decades. Firmly rooted in Scottsdale since the 1970s, Salcito Custom Homes, Ltd. has built hundreds of iconic residences throughout the most prestigious communities in Phoenix, Paradise, Valley, Scottsdale and most recently, Northern Arizona.
What are your specialties?
We are proud to be a true design and build service business. We do not take on projects unless we are involved from the beginning. We are regularly putting the entire design/build team together and being invited to be a part of an owner’s design team. Regardless of the dynamic, our preconstruction services are professional, thorough and an integral part of the services that we provide.
What are your goals when you begin a project?
Our mission and our passion are firmly aligned to provide both the most efficient process and impeccably finished product in a timely and honest manner. Our homes featured in this article are a good example of the stylistically diverse range in which we work. These homes can be found in Paradise Valley, Scottsdale and Northern Arizona.
What do you offer that most other builders don’t?
On the service side, we have been providing concierge services since 2000. Today, Salcito Concierge Group, Inc. is taking care of all the day-to-day maintenance and ongoing care requirements on custom residences throughout Paradise Valley and North Scottsdale. Our menu of services is comprehensive and can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of each home/homeowner.
What inspiration do you find in running your company?
I have always loved architecture and construction, the latter of which I learned the hard way, so it is exciting to be included in the top of the top of my field.
My wife of 20 years, Rebecca, inspires me. My two amazing boys make me want to continue to work hard and be a good role model. And my two loving dogs keep me on my toes late into every evening.
Where do you see Salcito Custom Homes, Ltd. heading in the future?
My vision for the future is to continue with all of the above, and to make sure the talented team at Salcito Custom Homes, Ltd. is around taking care of all that we have built, long into the future.
