This is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2024

Pantone, the global authority on color, has announced the 2024 color of the year: Peach Fuzz.

Peach Fuzz, a velvety mild peach, is a hue that brings kindness and tenderness to any space. Nestled between pink and orange, PANTONE 13-1023 presents a fresh approach to new softness. It highlights the human desire for togetherness and sanctuary.

Pantone selected Peach Fuzz as the Color of the Year for 2024 because we live in a world “which often emphasizes productivity and external achievements, and it is critical we recognize the importance of fostering our inner selves and find moments of respite, creativity and human connection amid the hustle and bustle of modern life.”

Peach Fuzz can be used in apparel and accessories; interior design and home decor; hair and beauty; and packaging and multimedia design.

In 2024, the Pantone Color of the Year is turning 25. It was created as an education program in 1999 to encourage the design community to engage in conversations about color around the world.

“As we celebrate the 25th year of our Pantone Color of the Year program and the fundamental role color plays in our shared human experience, it is our hope that we have inspired you to look at color in a different way — that color and its connection to emotion and the expression of human feelings will take on a new significance, causing your eye to linger a little longer throughout the day on the tints and tones that surround you, as history unfolds from moment to moment,” says Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute.
