The company constructed 696 rental units, further addressing Arizona’s affordable housing needs while surpassing its previous charitable giving record by donating over $50,000 to local nonprofit organizations that help strengthen communities across the state.

Since its inception in 2016, Greenlight Communities has been a driving force in Arizona’s affordable housing market. With nearly 3,500 units delivered across underutilized land statewide, the company has been at the forefront of addressing the shortage of affordable housing options for Arizona’s workforce, students, and residents. The accomplishments of 2024 further solidify Greenlight’s commitment to supporting the state’s essential workers and fostering sustainable communities where affordable housing was once scarce.

One of the company’s key innovations is its Cabana brand, which was introduced in 2016. In 2024, Greenlight made a significant stride by completing its first Streamliner community – a more affordable product designed to serve individuals earning around $40,000 annually. This new offering expands Greenlight’s reach.

Greenlight completed three new communities in 2024: Villa Cielo Cortaro, Streamliner 67th, and Streamliner 16th. In addition, Greenlight is actively working on Streamliner 87th, located in Peoria, is expected to open in 2025, providing 190 affordable units to the growing city. The company also anticipates the completion of Cabana Aldea and Streamliner Aldea, two adjacent developments in Glendale, by early 2025.

One of the most exciting projects is Greenlight’s first development in Tempe, Cabana Kyrene. Slated to break ground in 2025, this community will feature 229 attainable units, making it Tempe’s first workforce housing development. Cabana Kyrene will address a crucial gap in the local market, providing much-needed affordable housing to the city’s residents.

Another milestone was the launch of Cabana North Valley in January. This 159-unit community offers a boutique living experience, surrounded by top-rated charter schools, making it an ideal choice for families, teachers, and students. Meanwhile, Greenlight opened Villa Cielo Cortaro in Tucson, a unique two-story community with mountain views, providing 196 additional units.

Beyond housing, Greenlight Communities also made a significant impact in 2024 through its “Greenlight Gives” campaign, contributing over $50,000 to local nonprofit organizations. This included donations to El Grito Phoenix, Central Arizona Shelter Services, Saving Amy, and Phoenix Sister Cities.

As Greenlight Communities continues to expand its portfolio, the company remains focused on providing thoughtfully designed, well-located, and affordable rental options for Arizona’s diverse workforce. To learn more, visit livegreenlight.com.
