Returning for its second year, the annual Maricopa County Home and Flower Show will bring over one million flower petals to WestWorld of Scottsdale. From May 16-18, towering floral installations, sculptures, themed gardenscapes, stunning bouquets, a living greenhouse, a flower market, and more will be paired with more than one thousand home improvement exhibits.
The largest flower show in the Southwest also features the latest trends in home improvement, including kitchen and bath remodeling, windows, doors, garage solutions, flooring, landscaping, plumbing, pools, solar, and more. This year’s theme is The Language of Flowers. Attendees are invited to explore the profound ways flowers communicate meaning, emotion, and stories through their own rich, symbolic language.
“We are thrilled to be in our second year of the floral showcase in Arizona,” Show Manager Katie Jones said. “After traveling the country and visiting other shows, we are confident this one is second to none! Our outstanding local independent flower stores and contributors will amaze and educate all attendees.”
Free with admission are various unique attractions, including The Plant Bar, The Floral Showcase, Flower Home & Market, Battle of the Bouquets, and the Gardenscapes “Best in Show” Competition that invites visitors to explore imaginative garden displays, including floral fountains, mystical grottos, a lush tropical paradise, and a sleek, modern minimalist garden, all created by local landscape contractors. At the Handmade Headquarters, guests can participate in free make-and-take craft workshops.
Activities include designing a personalized, laser-engraved keychain, creating unique spatulas decorated with real flowers, crafting a preserved flower bouquet air freshener, and learning watercolor techniques to paint an original 4×6 botanical artwork to take home.
