A typical day in my life includes… Some morning prayer, check out the news and Instagram on my phone over coffee with my wife, then work — which could be making phone calls for work, real estate stuff, looking up new lines for the store, texting ideas with my wife, running out to take care of errands, try and fit in the gym, more work, more coffee, think about Mexican food, ask my wife last minute to go on a date night or get Mexican food with the kids, hang out with the family…maybe watch some sports or a movie with them, work on my phone during that time as well even though I am trying to be better about being more present, get in bed and read or do more work or surf auction sites or Instagram for the shop until I can’t keep my eyes open… wake up, repeat. Basically, it is a day filled with “squirrel!”.
I was born… into a huge Phoenix family who mostly still lives here in town. My kids are 5th generation natives.
My favorite thing about Arizona… the differing landscapes you can experience within such short distances from the city. Amazing mountains. The prettiest dessert you have ever seen. The canyons are breathtaking. Red rocks. Pine trees and forest. Snow. The most amazing sunsets and crazy monsoons and lightning, but no real natural disasters. And the fact that so much of the state is still out there to be explored in its natural state.
I’m listening to… Gregory Alan Isakov. Pretty much on and off forever.
My family… Parents still live here in town and are young. My dad was born in ‘54 and mom in ‘56 and they have 29 grandkids. I have three brothers and two sisters, and we all love each other and get along. I am honestly so lucky.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… That is too hard. Too many to choose from. Alive? Dead? Is it my last meal? Does it have to be someone who I haven’t had dinner with before? I don’t know. How about the President? I will just leave it at that.
One thing I cannot live without… sweets.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… a magician or a musician.
I’m inspired by… strength of character, honesty, and people who are true to themselves no matter what the consequences.
The one person who motivates me is… myself. No, I am not a narcissist. But if I don’t motivate myself, then I am done. I am my own biggest critic. And never am satisfied with who I am or what I am doing or what I have accomplished or how good of a man I have or have not become. And that motivates me.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… that everyone respected, with kindness, everyone’s beliefs and opinions, even if they disagree with them.
The perfect day would be… coffee, donuts, exercise, live music, mountains, maybe some time on a lake, good food, family, no arguing, great weather, a good movie, sleep.
My first job was…working on a watermelon farm doing grunt work and selling watermelons to local food stands and markets. 60-100 hours a week over the summers here in AZ. When I was 13.
My favorite escape… Telluride.
My life… was meant to move mountains. Still working on it.
I’m currently working on… being a better man. Always a work in progress.
Always… follow the golden rule. Yeah, I know it is cliché. But it is the best rule for a reason.

Biggest Dream… To make a living writing music and to be extremely successful to the point where I could change people’s lives financially on a daily basis through random acts of charity or kindness.
