A typical day in my life includes… Coffee, feeding animals (lots of animals), commute accompanied by a MasterClass, Podcast, or early morning conference calls, meetings (lots of meetings), commute home often accompanied by a phone call to my parents, feeding animals (again), and like clockwork I have dinner at 6:30 with my husband and spend quality time with him in the evenings.
I was born… in San Diego, CA and adopted shortly after by my amazing parents.
My favorite thing about Arizona… The sunshine is my #1!
I’m listening to… Currently, Sara Blakely’s MasterClass.
My family… Is my rock. I always say that I won the parents lottery when mine found me! I attribute a lot of my confidence as a person and business woman to having stability at home. I’ve never been one to shy away from taking risks or trying new things — I think a lot of that ambition is supported by the fact that there’s never been a doubt in my mind that if I needed somewhere to go, I could always go home! My folks still live in northern AZ where I grew up. We visit them as often as we can.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… My husband. Which I do, every day!
One thing I cannot live without… A bathtub. There’s absolutely nothing that a good bubble bath doesn’t cure.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… The President. (There’s still time)
I’m inspired by… Life!! We only have one to live, and I’m determined to live it well and leave a legacy that my family will be proud to carry forward.
The one person who motivates me is… My horse trainer. I feel like there are many awesome things in life that one can master, but few as cool as taming 1,000 lb. wild animals. He’s the man.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… Greed. If people were content to live simply, the world would be a less complicated and dangerous place.
The perfect day would be… Outside! Really outside anywhere. If there are horses present, that’s a bonus.
My first job was… Executive assistant to the CEO of a marketing company. Like Pepper Potts to Iron Man — but less glamorous.
My favorite escape… Riding my horses in the pasture.
My life… Is full. I love everything that I do, am grateful for everything that I have, and enjoy all the ups and downs, twists and turns.
I’m currently working on… Streamlining. Time is precious and most of mine is spent working. I’m striving to open up more time for fun! I’ve had a couple of years of 100% focus on my businesses (which has been awesome!), and now I’m ready to get back into some of my hobbies.
Always… Look to the future!
Never… Forget where you came from.
Favorite Quote… Every day is a new day. (My dad)
Biggest Dream… Besides being POTUS (still time!) I’m already living out my dream, and I encourage everyone to do the same. And when that seems impossible or out of reach, start by taking just one step! I’ve found that as I continue to put one intentional foot in front of the other, I just keep living out more and more of my dream.
My Pet Peeve(s)… Under-iced beverages.
