A typical day in my life includes… Running a solo practice as an attorney, business owner, and single father, I wear multiple hats that require me to multitask quite a bit each day. Between taking care of my sons, managing my business, and running my law practice, each day is an obstacle course of different obligations that I manage with the help of a small staff and some family.
I was born…in Rock Springs, Wyoming
My favorite thing about Arizona…is the outdoors and the weather. We love hiking, riding motorcycles, and exploring the beautiful state as much as possible.
I’m listening to…a mix of 90s classics.
My family…is the most important thing in my life. I’m a single father and moved to Arizona in 2016 with nothing but the shirt on my back and my two sons by my side. Things have worked out better than I could have ever imagined back then.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…my mom. She passed away in 2017 and I’d give anything to see her again.
One thing I cannot live without…coffee first thing in the morning. My brain doesn’t work without it.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…an author. I always loved to read and self-published my first novel when I was 16.
I’m inspired by…people who volunteer their time and money to people who are less fortunate.
The one person who motivates me is…my Dad. He’s the hardest working person I’ve ever met in my life. Even at nearly 70 years old, he will still outwork anyone and never makes excuses. He’s a problem solver, and just gets the job done.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…to end pollution, poverty, and war. I wish everyone would work together and use our resources for things that help and feed people instead of killing and destroying the planet.
The perfect day would be…on an adventure somewhere beautiful with my family.
My first job was…washing dishes at 14. I worked really hard and bought my first truck with the money I saved.
My favorite escape…is heading outdoors and going somewhere new and beautiful.
My life…is a gift I don’t take for granted.
I’m currently working on…building my business and getting my sons ready for high school and college. I don’t know what I’ll do yet when they leave me with an empty nest, but I’m starting to think about it.
Always…take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Opportunity doesn’t always knock, but when it does, you have to be ready to open the door.
Never…assume you know what’s going on in someone else’s life. Compassion and empathy are more important than being right all the time.
Favorite Quote…”Kill them with kindness” (English proverb)
Biggest Dream…for my sons to be successful and happy.
My Pet Peeve(s)…selfishness and greed.
