Angela Zdrale is the Founder of Liv Tall.
“Liv Tall is a clothing line designed exclusively for tall women. I am 6’1″ and always struggled to find clothing that fits properly, which is the same struggle for every tall woman. After being laid off from my career in fashion during COVID, I decided to solve the problem myself and create clothes I always wanted to wear!”
AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path for you?
AZ: Despite a successful corporate career in fashion, I always had dreams of owning my own business. I always thought outside of the box but when you are on a corporate career path it is hard to break away. As soon as my career ended during the pandemic, I knew it was finally time to pursue my dreams, the universe opened up for me and I was finally able to go on my own.
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
AZ: My husband is my biggest supporter and the one that encouraged me to start. He is my #1 cheerleader and believes wholeheartedly in what I am creating. My sister and close friends are also a constant stream of encouragement and support!
AZF: What is your “life motto?”
AZ: Whatever tomorrow brings, I’ll be there.
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
AZ: Tall women everywhere! All tall women struggle to find clothes that fit properly and despite the many challenges that come with not only owning a business but clothing manufacturing, I always keep them in mind. I truly want to solve this problem and it drives me every day. I also think of my young daughter who is a future tall girl and hope that by the time she is grown up, she has choices in fashion and doesn’t have to struggle and feel awkward like I did growing up.
AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
AZ: Sleeping in, going for a hike with my daughter then out breakfast with my family.
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
AZ: You are told there will be challenges and everyone says it is hard. You will only truly understand how hard it is once you start on the journey of becoming an entrepreneur. The simplest advice which is also the hardest, is that you just have to keep going and push through the many hurdles you will face. You have to stay crystal clear on your vision and just keep going!
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
AZ: I am following my dream. I am in control and get to create the brand that I envision, and it is so exciting.
