Tru Bowl Superfood Bar is a health-based shop founded in Southern California that offers craft acai bowls, Preston’s shakes, smoothies, fresh pressed juices, and immunity shots.
From the website: “Each bite reveals a world of vibrant flavors and nourishing goodness, taking you on a journey to a more energetic, grounded, and fulfilling life.”
AZF: What is your “life motto?”
CS: It’s never too late, and you’re never too old to become better.
AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?
CS: Entrepreneurship always interested me because I have many family and friends who are entrepreneurs. I also knew that I wanted to create a life that allowed me to still be able to be present for my family but also stretch me. I don’t think I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but once I found the courage to become one, I knew it was exactly how I wanted to build my life.
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
CS: Nothing makes me feel more supported in business than when someone shares or recommends Tru Bowl. Word of mouth is everything!
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
CS: Knowing that I am providing jobs and stability for others and that I am contributing to the growth and maturity of so many young adults!
AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
CS: Breakfast with my kids, and then any time spent outdoors – a hike, walk, or bike ride with the family.
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
CS: Be okay with not having all of the answers and understand that if you prioritize common sense and the willingness to learn, you can do literally anything.
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
CS: What excites me most about being an entrepreneur is being able to play a role in growing my younger staff. For most of them, they are experiencing their first real job with me, and I enjoy guiding them and teaching them more than any other part of my work.
