AZF: What is your “life motto”?
LD: On a personal and professional level, I believe creativity is a divine birthright – a sacred gift from God. It’s through our connection to the creator and our intuition that ideas are received, nurtured, and brought to life. This connection is also where we discover our deeper purpose, tap into our highest form of service, and unlock our greatest creative expression.
AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?
LD: Leadership and paving a new way forward have always felt like a natural calling. I come from a family of entrepreneurs – my parents built their business from the ground up – so in many ways, it’s in my DNA. I also witnessed the relentless grit it took, and for a long time, I wasn’t sure if that path was meant for me.
Throughout the years I spent working in other businesses, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing. Deep down, I knew I was here to create a more intentional, conscious approach to marketing, photography, and business strategy – one rooted in purpose, not just performance.
In 2020, life threw me into a season of major transformation, ultimately creating the space I needed to step into my calling. I began working independently as a freelance entrepreneur, which became the foundation for what would soon evolve into Ethereal House, which officially launched in 2021.
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
LD: I feel best supported knowing that I have a community of loved ones, friends, and clients who see me, build me up, support me in every phase of life, and nourish my soul. I also feel deeply fulfilled when I spend intentional time with myself through practices that bring me into a deeper presence with my mind, body, and soul.
Connection and human relation are the core of my support system, which helps me stay devoted to my mission, vision, and purpose while also avoiding burnout.
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
LD: My deepest motivator lives in the impact my work makes in other people’s lives, business ideas, and creativity. The “why” behind my vision is my biggest motivator through the toughest times and most difficult circumstances. When I hold onto that, knowing God planted this vision in my heart for a deep reason and impact, anything is possible.
AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
LD: My dream Saturday morning starts slow and intentional – soaking in the sun, sipping a latte, and exploring the farmer’s market. Afterward, I would head out on a hike or an intentional walk for quality time with a loved one! The balance of presence, nature, and connection makes for a dream experience.
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
LD: Stay rooted in your why – the deeper reason behind what you’re building. There will be seasons of doubt, comparison, and imposter syndrome, but if you stay connected to your purpose and allow your intuition to lead alongside strategy, you’ll create something that’s not only successful but deeply aligned. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Just start, stay curious, and let it evolve.
Along the way, be intentional about curating a community of supportive, uplifting women who see your vision, believe in it, and remind you of your power on the days you forget. That kind of community is everything—it keeps you grounded, inspired and reminded that you’re never building alone.
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
LD: There’s something fulfilling about working with soul-aligned clients and bringing their vision to life — it keeps me inspired, grounded, and constantly evolving. Every project invites growth, not just in my artistry but in how I show up and serve the women I’m here to support. At the end of the day, this work fuels me. It challenges me, excites me, and gives me purpose, for that, I’m deeply grateful.
I also cherish the freedom to build a business that’s truly in alignment with my life – not the other way around. I love being able to live intentionally, following an intuitive flow that honors the natural seasons of life and the cyclical rhythm of being a woman.
