I was born…

In Winona, MN.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

Honestly it has to be the sunshine being from the Midwest we could go weeks without sun and just something up the day being so bright puts me in amazing mood.

I’m listening to…

At this very moment typing this an audio book by Eric Thomas – “The Secret To Success.” I have listened to it over 20 times easily by now!

My family…

Is an amazing dysfunctional group of kindhearted misfits, which is probably why I fit in so well. We are an eclectic mix from father to son and mother to daughter!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be….

If I could pick my all-star cast it would have to be Tony Robbins (motivational coach/speaker), Ray Lewis (NFL Hall Of Famer), Arnold Schwarzenegger and ‘The’ Michael Jordan — that’s a pretty powerful lineup to eat with. My reason: each one of them has a mentality, drive, work ethic, and heart that is on a level most people could even imagine and to sit and pick their brains but more importantly just hear them talk, share, stories would be a dream come true for me.

One thing I cannot live without…

Happiness, without that there really is not point to continue on this kick-ass journey we call life. You need to have happiness, find happiness, or create happiness in your life with yourself and those around you. A great quote I love is “Happiness is only real if shared.” I truly believe that it’s just about making yourself happy but also sharing that feeling with others.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

Michael Jordan of course. I always wanted to grow up and play in the NBA, being professional athletes was always my #1 dream as a kid.

I’m inspired by…

Our athletes at Jeremy Scott Fitness. I know most people would expect me to say some professional athlete, businessperson orcelebrity-type, but it’s our everyday athletes who inspire JSF. A majority of our athletes are parents, some single parents, some with full time careers, some with multiple kids and numerous other responsibilities. Still these people show up day after day. Many of them are here ready to work before 6 a.m. hits, to me that’s inspiring. To have an amazing balance of family, friends, career, health, and fitness is something I think we can all be inspired by. They are the reason I tell people “ you have the time or you make the time, anyone can be in great shape, and live a healthy life you just have to want it bad enough.”

The one person who motivates me is…

It would be almost impossible to pinpoint just one as I am blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing individuals in some many arenas of my life. I guess the one person who challenges me the most if my significant other Heather, from the stand point of doing things outside my comfort zone, trying to be better in the weak areas of my life, looking at myself and seeing what I am truly capable of, so in turn that challenges and motivates me on various levels.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

To allow everyone to see even for a day, that no matter what situation, what station in life you are that almost anything is possible if you believe in yourself. Most people are capable of x 100 more than they are currently doing they just don’t have the mind-sight to really see themselves being as successful as they can be.

The perfect day would be…

I am simple, my perfect day would be hanging out will my close friends and family in the same place at the same just enjoying each others company reminiscing about all the awesome times we have had while creating another on that day.

My first job was…..

I guess my one glorious position of dish washer at the World Famous Chula Vista Mexican Restaurant in hometown of Winona, Minn.

My favorite escape…

Daily would be training alone, pushing myself to do more than anyone could ever ask of my physically. It’s a natural high I get from training that can’t be replicated that can take me from bad to great in less than an hour. No thinking about the outside world, just plain hard work and sweat that’s my daily escape if only for an hour from the stress of “life.”

My life…

Is exactly how I have written it to this point. I am the master of my day, I am writing my book not following the path of “what people are supposed to do” I create each and everyday of my life and I am living my life on my terms and it’s amazing.

I’m currently working on…

Being a better person each day and two amazing done for you nutrition and training eproducts, finishing another book that I am ultra excited about the release of all three of these things in the next few months.

Always…

Try and be a better person today than you were yesterday.

Never…

Let anyone tell you can’t do, be or achieve something, almost anything in your life is possible you just have to be willing to give up what others aren’t willing to give up to get it, but almost anything you dream is within your grasp.

Favorite Quote…

I have so many that I live by and that have touched me but this is one of my favorites – “If tomorrow wasn’t promised, what you give for today? Forget everything else, forget that there was any sunlight left what would you spend today thinking about?” – Ray Lewis

Biggest Dream…

Is to live a healthy, happy life and enrich the lives of as many people as possible. My dream is that I can change hundreds if not thousands of lives but educating them not only about nutrition and the benefits of exercise but what is possible in your life if you simply believe you control your own future.

My Pet Peeves ……

I don’t have any real life altering ones but for the sake of this lets go with guys doing bicep curls in the squat rack and people who leave their shopping carts in the parking lot — both unacceptable things.
