Name: McLain
Title: Model
Married/Single: Girlfriend
Kids: None
Live: Arizona
I was born…
In the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
I decided to become a model because…
My good friend and hairstylist, Miriana Radan, one day told me that I should model. At first I was totally against the idea, but she convinced me to at least meet with one of her other clients who had opened the modeling agency, JANI Model Management just under a year beforehand. I met with Mrs. Jorjani, she told me I had a great look, and wanted to sign me immediately.
Major cities I have modeled in are…
New York, London, and Milan.
My favorite designer is…
Tom Ford
My favorite model is…
I like Sean O’Pry’s work, and he seems like a man of character, so if I had to say anyone, I would say him.
If I could be on the cover of any magazine it would be…
RECOIL Magazine, shooting sports are my favorite.
My favorite location to shoot is…
Ben Avery Clay and Target Center. Oh, but if we’re talking about photo shoots, I like to “shoot” in urban settings.
A person I am inspired by is…
Winston Churchill. He was the ultimate patriot in a time when patriots were few and far between.
By the end of this year I hope to accomplish…
At least a 3.5 GPA in college.
My ethnicity is…
Mostly Scottish and German, but I’m a little of everything.
My favorite type of modeling is…
Editorial shoots for magazines, they are the most fun!
My favorite shoot has been…
The late night shoot I did toward the end of my last trip to Milan. It was from 8 pm to 5 am. It was just really interesting to see a usually bustling city at times when everyone is asleep. I couldn’t see any headlights on the roads leave the ones from the street-sweeps.
I was inspired to become a model because…
Of the romantic ideas of travel and worldly experience.
My definition of beauty is….
“a combination of harmony, symmetry, proportion, meaning, truth, and goodness.” – Michael Bauman Ph.D. Professor of Religious Studies, Hillsdale College. Dr. Bauman, my Western Religion professor, said this when we were describing the definition of beauty as given by Jonathan Edwards of the Great Awakening.
My most embarrassing moment in modeling was when…
Well this one time, I had to have orange hair…
My proudest moment in modeling was when…
I saw my first picture in a magazine.
If I could guarantee happiness for one person it would be…
My girlfriend, Savannah.
Modeling changed my lifestyle in that…
I have healthier eating habits than I did before.
My advice for aspiring models would be…
The experience is the only part that is truly invaluable.
The one thing about modeling that most people don’t know is…
People tend to think that there is a bunch of editing via photoshop of the pictures used. There really isn’t that much editing that goes into it. All of it is really the talent of the photographers.
The key to success is…
The difference between failure and success is just a little more effort.
