Jenna W. – JANI Model Management

N_92128

Where were you born?

I was born in Southampton, New York.

What made you decide to become a model?

It’s funny because people always described me as shy and more of an introvert, but there was always that part of me that loved being in the limelight Modeling was always something I had dreamed about and once I hit the height requirement, I decided it was time to pursue that dream and see where it would take me.

What major cities have you modeled in?

So far, I’ve had the opportunity to model in Phoenix, Miami, and Milan.

Who is your favorite designer?

Even if I can’t afford it, I love Versace. A future goal of mine in my modeling career is to walk for Versace on the runway!

Who is your favorite model?

My all-time favorite model (and inspiration) is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley! I absolutely love her..

If you could be on the cover of any magazine, what would it be and why?

The magazine I would strive to make it onto the cover of is VOGUE. I’m sure that’s an expected answer coming from an aspiring model, but I think once you grace its cover you should feel pretty confident that you’ve made it to the top!

Where is your favorite location to shoot?

My favorite location to shoot was Miami Beach. It was a blast working in such a beautiful place and I especially didn’t mind the shoots that involved jumping in the ocean!

Can you share your favorite beauty secrets?

I’m obsessed with using moisturizer every day, especially on my face! It’s great for soft, fresh looking skin. Another secret that I can’t go without is dry shampoo and a cheekbone highlighter.

Who inspires you and why?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley inspires me every day. It’s clear that she works hard to maintain not only her awesome figure, but also her flourishing career as a model, her relationships with her family and boyfriend, yet still finds time to relax and enjoy the simple things in life like spending time with her dogs (you can find out a lot through Instagram!).

What do you hope to accomplish by the end of this year?

By the end of the year I hope to be in culinary school and be signed with an agency in New York City.

Any beauty secret(s)?

Add a cheekbone highlighter to your daily makeup routine.   It brightens up your face and makes your eyes pop!

What ethnicities are you?

I guess you could say I’m an all American girl, but I’ve got a little Italian, German, Irish, and French in me.

What type of modeling do you enjoy the most and why?

I love runway the most so far because it gives me the opportunity to show that I have a strong walk, and a fierce look that could be great for high fashion runway shows.

What is your favorite shoot you’ve done and why?

My favorite shoot was a test shoot I did in Miami with an amazing photographer, Tommy Chung. It was all on the beach and in the ocean modeling in my swimsuit. It’s the closest thing I’ve done to feeling like a Victoria’s Secret model, so I definitely loved it.

I was inspired to become a model because…

I always loved the idea of traveling from one major city to another, meeting amazing designers and wearing beautiful clothes.

My definition of beauty is….

Having confidence in yourself and your ability to be unique.

My most embarrassing moment in modeling was when…

I was running around Milan from casting to casting, unaware that I had a giant hole in the front of my nude colored jeggings until a random girl came up to me and informed me of my “blowout”!

My proudest moment in modeling was when…

I booked the T-Rains Funkshion Fashion Show in Miami, Florida.

If I could guarantee happiness for one person…

It would be my older sister, Kate.

How has modeling changed your day to day lifestyle?

Ever since I started modeling, I have shifted my focus from school to my modeling career. I have enrolled in online classes so that I have more time for modeling opportunities.  I push myself to exercise daily, along with eating healthy and drinking TONS of water.

What would you say to an aspiring model?

I would tell an aspiring model to never look at other models and compare yourself to how they look. The key in modeling is not to have the “perfect measurements”, but to have the most confidence. In reality, you’re already perfect exactly the way you are. You are unique, simply because YOU are YOU and that’s something those other models don’t have.

What’s the one thing about modeling that most people don’t know?

Most people don’t know that modeling is hard, tiring, and competitive. Whenever I tell my friends I’m tired after a shoot, they always act shocked and asks “How are you tired after standing pretty in front of a camera?”

If you were your own dad or your mom, what would you tell yourself about the keys to success?

I would tell myself that the keys to success are confidence, perseverance, and a thick skin. No one is going to hand you anything in life, if you want something; you need to fight for it!
