Name: Alexa Rogers
Age: 23
Title: Miss Arizona
Married/Single: Single (not married)
Kids: no
City you live in: Scottsdale
Describe a typical day in your life: Wakeup, drink a Bai 5 (my favorite antioxidant drink), make a healthy breakfast, workout at Scott’s Training Systems, eat more protein, post on social media, volunteer at local charity events and appearances focusing on empowering homeless and impoverished children, eat more protein, have a conference call for work, have dinner with my best friend, spend some much needed time exploring Pinterest, eat more protein, then go to sleep so I can do it all again!
I was born… to make a difference. I want to leave a big footprint on this earth by positively impacting as many lives as I can (even though I have really small feet)
My favorite thing about Arizona… The sunsets! They are breathtakingly beautiful and I always stop to look at them in the evenings.
I’m listening to… Iggy Azalea, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, and Diplo – and on Sundays it’s always the Shwayze Pandora station. I really like a mix of everything!
My family…is my support system – both my family by blood and by choice. I would not be where I am today without each and every one of them. It truly takes a village!
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Nelson Mandela. I can only hope to make as big of a difference in the world as he did.
One thing I cannot live without…shoes. I may or may not have a slight obsession.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…a Spice Girl. I even dressed up as Sporty Spice for one of their concerts!
I’m inspired by…the possibility of what the future holds.
The one person who motivates me is…my little sister Grace. I strive to be the best role model I can be for her by living a healthy, balanced lifestyle and putting my 100% dedication into everything I set my mind to.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…poverty. Everyone deserves a chance at a great life and that especially includes the children that are born into poverty with no choice.
The perfect day would be…relaxing on the beach somewhere exotic and sunny!
My first job was…a community assistant at an apartment complex at ASU.
My favorite escape…the gym. I can leave anything that is bothering me at the door and put full dedication into my workout – plus it gives me a chance to disconnect from the technology world and put my phone down for a couple hours.
My life…is extraordinary. I would not change a single thing about my life today, nor the path that has brought me here. I am truly grateful for each and every moment and experience.
I’m currently working on…funding school lunches for homeless and impoverished children at low-income schools in Maricopa County who often do not even know where their next meal will come from or where they will lay their head that night. To help fund this project donate to The Real Gift Foundation online.
Always…be the best version of YOU – everyone else is already taken!
Never…put anyone else down. You never know what someone else may be going through in life.
Favorite Quote…There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.
Biggest Dream…to be Miss America!
My Pet Peeve(s)…jeans with athletic shoes – come on guys!! Fashion no no!
