Title: Arizona State University Student & Project Architect at The Refined Group

Married/ Single: Single

Kids: One day!

City you live in: I currently live in Scottsdale, but spend lots of my time traveling to San Diego and Los Angeles for friends and family.

A typical day in my life includes…

waking up around 5:15am and heading to my gym, BL8TN. It has become a strict routine over summer and I can’t express enough how much it elevates my day. I leave the gym feeling more energized and motivated, eat my two pieces of my Sprouts brand raisin toast, and get ready for the day. The rest of my day consists of being a project architect at an interior design firm called The Refined Group. When lunch break rolls around, I pick up a salad (or pizza) and head to class until 6pm. After a long day, I like to catch up on some assignments, have a glass of my favorite cab and eat any chocolate I can find in the house.

I was born…

in beautiful San Diego, California. I was fortunate enough to spend 14 years of my life there camping, hiking, riding horses, playing soccer, track, and volleyball. I had such an active and memorable youth that I would not trade my childhood for the world. I moved up to Ventura County with my family where I finished high school and met some great people along the way.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

that there is so much outdoor beauty around us! I made it a goal of mine to start hiking every weekend and I have had so much fun in the process (besides being caught in a flash flood once lol). It’s worth it to take a 2-3 hour drive and escape the heat while exploring somewhere new. My next hike is on October 27th to Havasupai Falls and I am excited as can be!

I’m listening to…

I am always listening to music, and the genre all comes down to the mood I am in in that given moment. I grew up with all types of music around me, so I am fortunate to appreciate it all. Whether it be 80’s, Country, Nat King Cole, Drake, or System Of A Down, you will always find me with music in my ears. P.S. very obsessed with The 1975 and Oh Wonder at the moment.

My family…

is my absolute rock. My parents are high school sweethearts and have a love that is unlike any other that I pray to find one day. I have an older, 24 year old brother that is literally the smartest person I have ever encountered. They are all still living in California but I have a great home base in Scottsdale with my aunt, uncle, and my younger cousins who are basically my sisters.

If I could have dinner with anyone it would be…

my Grandpa on my mom’s side. He passed away when I was 5 and I only remember him vaguely. I know from memories and stories that he was the most loving and selfless man, and I know he would give me some pointers on how to be the best person I could be!

One thing I cannot live without:

chocolate. I have the biggest sweet tooth on this planet and if I don’t have at least one ounce of dessert a night, you will not want to come around me.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

I wanted to have a huge ranch with a ton of rescue dogs. For a solid month or two, I made posters and shirts about my “Dog Club” and had about 5 eleven year olds backing me up. We were unstoppable. We never got a dog.

I’m inspired by…

I am very inspired by my mom. She is so generous and caring to everyone she meets, and I strive to be like that everyday. When all of my friends come over to hang out, she becomes everyones mom, tending to anything anyone needs. She also is my absolute best friend and we can laugh together for hours.

The one person who motivates me is…

my dad. He has worked so hard throughout his lifetime and has never given up to become successful. He also has more hobbies than anyone I know. He is a beekeeper, a candlemaker, a car mechanic, a welder, a parasailer, a model airplane flyer, a burger joint owner, and handyman on top of being a business owner of a major aerospace company.

If I could change anything in the world…

I know this sounds cliche, but if I could change anything in the world it would be to take all of the insensitivity and hate away. As a human population, we have become so hateful to the environment and fellow humans around us, and we are not living in harmony. There is so much crime, so many unnecessary deaths, and environmental abuse in the world. It is so sad to me that we as people feel entitled to be selfish and careless to this one and only world that we have.

The perfect day would be…

I have had a perfect day before! It was in Kauai with so many people that I love. We went out on a Zodiac boat around 7am and got to be in the middle of a 300+ pod of spinner dolphins. They swam through the wake and jumped in the air like it was a wild SeaWorld show (Blackfish supporter, don’t worry). It was one of the best moments of my life. Being surrounded by such a beautiful species made me believe that there is still grace and purity in the world. After the dolphins we went and hiked the Napali coast, snorkeled, and had a great lunch on a deserted beach. It was the best day and I will cherish it forever in my heart!

My first job was…

a food server at Riot Hospitality’s Whiskey Row. I met so many great people during my year of working there, including my roommate of two years. The company really makes the employees family and I am thankful that I got to be apart of such a great team!

My favorite escape…

when I am a bit overwhelmed I like to get out in nature and go on a hike. The feeling of being outdoors is so relaxing to me and puts my mind at ease. However, if I can’t get away I like to diffuse essential oils in my room and blast Norah Jones.

My life…

has been filled with blessings. I have met so many amazing and impactful people throughout my journey…I have been hurt before, but I am able to get back up and keep pushing for the ultimate goal I have set for myself. Relationships in life come and go, but each person you encounter has the ability to teach you a lesson, and I have faith that lessons learned will bring you to what you believe and deserve in life.

I’m currently working on…

becoming a full time Interior Designer. As I near the end of my college career, I am looking to find jobs either in Arizona, London, or Los Angeles. It is very scary, yet exciting to embark on this new journey of adulthood and I cannot wait to see where life takes me!

Always…

I’ve learned to always try and find the positives in any given situation. Life can throw some pretty rough curveballs at you, but it is what you make of a situation that ultimately determines the outcome. Stay smiling and whatever you are dealing with, you will be okay.

Never…

be cruel to others. The world is already such a broken place and it needs humanity to piece it back together. Make efforts to help one in need, smile at a stranger, and be a good human.

Favorite Quote…

“Worrying is like paying on a debt that may never come due”- Will Rogers

Biggest Dream…

to travel and embrace different cultures and countries. The world has so much to see and I want to make my time here worthwhile. I want to make people smile, I want to teach people, and I want to learn from others. I also would love to have a serious career in interior design at a hospitality and commercial firm. After a day of work, I want to walk into the door of my home and be greeted by little mini me’s and my hunk of a husband. Plus like 10 dogs.

Biggest Pet Peeve(s)…

I cannot stand it when people chew loudly or open their mouth when they are eating! EW, no one wants to see your ABC food! Also, I can’t stand when people run in place or tap their legs uncontrollably. Go take a lap and relax when you’re sitting down!
