A typical day in my life includes…
working as an intern for Victoria Secret’s sister brand La Senza, and going to class at the Columbus College of Art & Design. On the weekends I like to go to church and go antiquing!

it’s absolutely beautiful, everywhere I look I’m finding cute spots to take pictures! Okay, and In-N-Out Burger…we don’t have those in Ohio.

Podcasts! My favorites right now are Fashion Rewired by Brian Hill, The Successful Fashion Designer by Sew Heidi, and the Goaldigger Podcast by Jenna Kutcher. Trust me…you’ll thank me later!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…
a fashion designer, I decided when I was 9 because I thought ‘MollyKate Cline’ sounded like a designer’s name. By the time I was 10, my mom bought me a sewing machine and I taught myself how to sew. Also at age 10, I wrote my college application letter to design schools in NYC and asked my mom to put them in the mail for me….I guess you could say I’ve always known what I wanted!
I’m inspired by…
God’s creation of this planet, and how sustainable practices within the fashion industry can help protect it.
The one person who motivates me is…
my father. Unfortunately, he passed away tragically when I was 9 and it hit me pretty hard because I was such a daddy’s girl. It was at that moment where I knew I wanted to do something in life to make him proud, like becoming a fashion designer could bring him back or something. I was young, but losing my father ignited a fire inside my heart to accomplish enough in this world for the both of us. He’s kind of this drive that’s inside of me to always strive for better. I miss him like crazy.
My personal style…
is very relaxed and girly. I like pieces that can speak for themselves, and are quick to throw on. Anything with ruffles, flowers, or dainty details. I always aim for effortless. But no matter what I wear, you won’t catch me without rose gold jewelry on!
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…
implementing necessary changes to ensure every single person in the world has access to mental health education, diagnosis and treatment.
The perfect day would be…
traveling to a fun city, eating new foods and finding antique stores to hunt through!
My first job was…
at a prom and bridal shop when I was 16. I started out as a cashier and within 3 months moved to stylist, then seamstress and then helping sketch custom gowns for Jovani and Sherri Hill!
My favorite escape…
my sewing room, you could lose me there for days at a time!
My life…
has had so much good and so much bad in such a short amount of time, but I rest in knowing that God’s the author of my life and that’s all that matters.
I’m currently working on…
moving away from designing couture pieces and starting a ready to wear line. This summer I’m going into cut and sew production for the first time!!
I can’t wait for Phoenix Fashion Week because…
it’ll be the finale of a long summer of hard work from all 16 of the designers. We’re all excited to see each other’s final collections hit the runway! And then sleep for a while afterwards.

“Le talent n’a pas d’âge” it’s French for, “Talent is Ageless”. I saw it on a poster in the airport terminal when I stepped off the plane in Paris when I was 17. I love it because people are always underestimating me because I’m younger!
Biggest Dream…
to show at Paris Fashion Week! Or become successful enough to fund a sea otter exhibit at a local zoo…you know, the usual.
My Pet Peeve(s)…
I’m extremely introverted so I always get upset with myself when I’m trying to be a part of a conversation and I can’t get a word in (like people are just supposed to know I’ve had something to say for a while now, right? haha). It’s totally my fault-but Phoenix Fashion Week is helping me break out of my shell!
