A typical day in my life includes…
wake up, brew coffee, feed koi pond, open chicken coop and give girls a treat (mealworms), drink coffee and read for 30 minutes while the house is quiet. My husband Denis awakes and our four dogs now want breakfast. More coffee. Shower, dress, call Murray (my come-along dog) into the car and head to MAC6, warehouse headquarters of Truce. Check emails, orders, and participate in team huddle. Create content for social media team, work with creative director on label and media concepts. Be available to team members for product and sales ideas. Meet with suppliers and buyers. Participate in days end ‘huddle’ with team to discuss next day’s goals. Murray and I head home. Survey our urban farm, check what plants need water, lead hens back into their coop for the night, check hummingbird feeders for refilling. Pour wine and start dinner. Debrief the day with Denis. Watch Vice News, Seth Myers and maybe something on PBS. Retire with a good book, read 2 pages, fall asleep.
