Name: Chloe Hiller
Age: 16
City you live in: Phoenix
A typical day in my life includes…
getting up early to go to school. At my high school, I am the technical studio director/ show producer for Arcadia News Network, which I love! Other than that, you can catch me doing homework, on Facetime with my friends or on social media.
I was born…
to be a world-changer! I’m the first person in my family to be born and raised in Arizona.
My favorite thing about Arizona…
definitely the sunsets. I love to take pictures of the sky and send them to my Grandma who also loves the sky.
I’m listening to…
Tyler the Creator, Frank Ocean, and Post Malone.
My family…
is very supportive and my number one fans. They are so fun and hilarious and come to cheer me on at every event.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…
Walter Cronkite. I would talk to him about what it meant to him to be one of the country’s most successful journalists and news anchors.
One thing I cannot live without…
music.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…
Miss Universe. That is still one of my biggest future dreams.
I’m inspired by…
Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani activist who was shot when she was 15-years-old for standing up for female rights to education when girls in her country were banned from attending school.
The one person who motivates me is…
my amazing mom. She is a beautiful, strong, smart woman who is a breast cancer survivor and she has always been my biggest supporter. I appreciate everything she has done for me and seeing her strength encourages me to give my all in everything I do.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…
to make sure all people are treated equally and treated with kindness – no matter their gender, race, nationality or anything else that makes someone unique.
The perfect day would be…
79 degrees, sunshine and I’m surrounded by nature with my hair in a bun, an oversized sweatshirt and my lulu leggings, listening to music while I’m drawing or painting flowers.
My first job was…
modeling in a fashion show at the Make-A-Wish foundation gala. One of the Wish Kids created her own clothing line and I was one of four models chosen to wear her designs. It was an awesome experience that I will never forget.
My favorite escape…
hanging out in my room, turning on my LED lights and dancing around to Abba’s “Dancing Queen.”
My life…
is crazy, busy, extraordinary, special and fun. I have had some really great opportunities and met some amazing people through modeling, volunteering in the community and competing in pageants.
Always…
making a difference in my community. I have been participating in pageants since I was 8-years-old and have volunteered hundreds of hours doing community service for numerous organizations over the years. I enjoy promoting my #GirlsDreamBelieveandAchieve movement on social media and at schools and other events.
I’m currently working on…
winning my national pageant competition, Miss High School America, in June 2020. I won the title of Miss Arizona High School America in September and I am honored to represent the state of Arizona at nationals in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Always…
appreciate what is right in front of me!
Never…
stop dreaming big, believing in yourself and achieving your goals!
Favorite Quote…
“I raise up my voice – not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard.” – Malala Yousafzai
Biggest Dream…
to be Miss High School America 2020, then graduate in 2021 and attend the University of Oregon, or maybe the Cronkite School of Journalism at ASU.
My Pet Peeve(s)…
when people lie, people who chew with their mouth open and nail biters.
Summarize yourself in one sentence…
I am your typical fun-loving and lively teenager who is passionate about empowering others to dream, believe and achieve.
