Two major luxury resort names are coming to Mexico’s stunning Baja California Sur. Let’s take a peek, below.
Amanvari
Opening end of 2021
Aman Resort’s latest destination in Mexico, Amanvari, is located on the Eastern Cape of the Baja Peninsula at the edge of the Sea of Cortés. Framed by the majestic Sierra de la Laguna mountain range and hugged by golden sand dunes, Amanvari, which takes its name from the Sanskrit-derived words for “peace” and “water,” will be home to a resort, private residences, multiple dining venues, a spa, and its very own stretch of white sand beach.
The 20 bi-level hotel pavilions, each offering a generosity of space both inside and out, will be spread across the resort’s bucolic landscape that was once a former hacienda. Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto an outdoor terrace and wraparound sundeck, where some will even have a cantilevered pool.
Meanwhile, 24 whole-ownership Aman Residences boast panoramic seaside views, ranging from four- to seven-bedrooms spanning from 1,207 to 1,858 square meters of covered indoor-outdoor living, either facing the adjacent golf course or within the on-site organic farms.
Chablé Hotel Sea of Cortez
Opening 2023
Chablé Sea of Cortez is set to transform the traditionally underdeveloped area of La Paz, Baja California Sur’s capital, into a luxury resort destination. Developed by Mexican luxury hotel company Chablé Hotels & Resorts, the Sea of Cortez hotel will be situated on rolling hills of vast biological reserves, where 50 suites—each with its own pool and deck—will be intentionally built at a 23-degree angle to allow direct views of the sparkling sea ahead. Other highlights across the property will include a private beach, multiple dining venues, a spa, and an ocean-front pool.
