Cormorant Boutique Hotel, a charming 26-room stay with coastal-inspired design opens today in La Jolla, CA.
“We are excited to welcome guests to San Diego’s newest boutique hotel,” said general manager David Vecchione. “Our hotel offers effortless elegance with comforts and activities of the barefoot-chic San Diego lifestyle and will serve as a relaxing escape for out-of-town guests and locals alike.”
Opening with the hotel is a new rooftop restaurant and bar aptly named Birdseye. Led by chef Luciano Scagliarini, the dining spot offers a “bird’s-eye view” of La Jolla’s shores and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving modern coastal cuisine with flavors from Argentina and Baja California.
The property is also home to Prospect Market, an upscale grab-and-go marketplace featuring fresh juices, snacks and beverages, along with souvenirs from local businesses.
To celebrate the opening, the hotel is offering a romantic “Picnic Package,” which includes overnight accommodations and a curated picnic for two via a partnership with Pop Up Picnic Co., as well as a special rate of 15% off for Southern California residents. Hotel rates start at $299 per night.
