This spooky season, those who dare can book a one-night stay at the Sanderson Sisters’s creaky old cottage for the first time.
Nestled deep into the woods of Danvers, Mass., this Airbnb looks like a scene straight out of Hocus Pocus, complete with overgrown vines, wooden boards that squeak underfoot, a witch’s brew pendulating from the ceiling, lots of spiderwebs, a spellbook and much more scary decor.
Though it looks like the cottage has been frozen in time for centuries, its doors will soon be open for visitors ready to get into the Halloween “spirit,” plus the Sanderson Sisters have set aside Oct. 20 for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The three sisters will host an exclusive stay at the Hocus Pocus cottage for two guests on Oct. 20, just in time for their highly anticipated return in Hocus Pocus 2, which is now streaming on Disney + (rated PG, Disney+ subscription required, must be 18+ to subscribe).
“We all know that the Sanderson Sisters’ story might not have ended when we turned to dust, nor did our shenanigans,” says actress Kathy Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson in the Hocus Pocus films. “What better way to celebrate the season than to host guests at the trio’s historic haunt for a night they’ll remember for years to come?”
The two guests will get to try their hand at enchantments from the ancient spellbook the Sanderson Sisters once used themselves, explore Salem’s history by visiting some of the town’s most haunted properties, as well as view a special screening of Hocus Pocus 2.
