Just in time for summer vacations and the 2024 Summer Olympics, the iconic city of Paris is now only a direct flight away for Arizona residents!
Beginning in May, Air France will operate a brand-new direct flight linking Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris, France. As the first direct flight service from Phoenix to Paris, this milestone reflects the Phoenix area’s growth and trajectory.
Convenience and comfort when traveling can make the difference between an enjoyable flight and a stress-filled journey. The coupling of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, with a convenient location and reputation as America’s Friendliest Airport®, and the high-class service of Air France assures flyers a reliable travel experience.
As Phoenix continues to grow in popularity, this direct connection to Europe propels Phoenix further into the realm of international tourism. With this growing global accessibility, the opportunities for Arizona residents, and Arizona cities alike, are limitless.
Phoenix Councilwoman Kesha Hodge Washington shared her enthusiasm for the new service saying, “With this new direct service from Phoenix to Paris, we are showcasing our city to the world, forging stronger business and economic ties with France, and providing the kind of exemplary customer experience for which Sky Harbor is known. This new flight will also encourage future economic development with our European trading partners and showcase for airlines in markets we have yet to serve that Phoenix is the destination to choose.”
With Phoenix international flights having a total estimated contribution of $3.4 billion annually to the local economy, this addition will help bring about positive economic growth for the city.
The Air France service will begin May 23, 2024, and offer three class configurations with a total capacity of 279 seats. Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays as a Boeing 787-900 will depart Paris at 10:10 a.m. and arrive in Phoenix at 12:10 p.m. The flight will then depart again from Phoenix at 2:10 p.m. and arrive in Paris at 9:15 a.m. the next day.
Phoenix tallies as Air France’s 22nd North American Gateway as the company continues to expand and connect more locations to the city of love.
