As it turns out, Arizona hotels and resorts are some of the best places in the Southwest to stay, unwind and recharge. Condé Nast Traveler has released its 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards, where a number of hotels and resorts from Phoenix to Tucson have made the cut.
The highly-lauded awards include specialized lists of some of the best hotels and resorts across the country and around the world that have been rated and reviewed by more than 300,000 travelers for the magazine’s 29th annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey.
For “Top Hotels in The American Southwest,” five Arizona hotels made the list with L’Auberge de Sedona nabbing first place. Paradise Valley’s The Hermosa Inn is second, followed by Hotel Palomar in downtown Phoenix (#9), Tucson’s Arizona Inn (#10), and The Arizona Biltmore Waldorf Astoria (#12) rounding off the list.
Meanwhile, Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson was named as one of “The 10 Best Resorts in the U.S.” and also snagged first place in the “Top Resorts in Texas and The American Southwest,” followed by neighbor Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa.
