Zinburger (pictured) patrons can support a local boy in his battle against CPC (choroid plexus carcinoma) brain cancer by ordering Chase’s Butterfinger Milkshake ($6) throughout the month of September. The milkshake was 5-year-old Chase Lock’s favorite treat while undergoing treatment, so Zinburger decided to bring back the milkshake for a limited time and donate 100 percent of the proceeds to his family charity, Lock in Hope.
Through Sept. 21, Margaritaville in Glendale will be offering guests the opportunity to donate to National Dine Out to End Childhood Hunger Week by rounding up their checks to the nearest dollar in the restaurant or retail store.
The Valley’s newest Potbelly Sandwich Shop opened its doors at 15641 N. Hayden Rd. in Scottsdale on Tuesday. Potbelly patrons can expect toasty warm sandwiches, hand-dipped shakes, made-to-order salads, as well as friendly and lively people.
This fall, Chestnut Lane, a favorite Valley restaurant forced to close its doors in 2010, returns under new ownership. The newly named Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions will be opened by sisters and new owners Marissa Hochman and Kirsten Steele. To celebrate the opening of Phoenix-based Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions, the duo is encouraging fans to take “A Walk Down Chestnut Lane” with a Facebook comment contest. Those who share their favorite memory of Chestnut Lane before Sept. 24 will have a chance to win an advance private menu tasting for four. The memory with the most votes between Sept. 24 and Sept. 30 wins.
Yesterday, the Valley’s newest Whole Foods opened its doors. Whole Foods Market Camelback opened at the Town & Country shopping center with a craft beer and wine bar, called Twenty Highland Tavern, debuting inside the store.
Pepsi Amphitheater hosts the first-ever Flagstaff Fall Craft Beer Festival, serving more than 100 different craft beers this coming Saturday, Sept. 21, 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets for Flagstaff Fall Craft Beer Festival are available at www.pepsiamp.com. General admission tickets are $29 and include 24 beer samples. VIP tickets are $49 and include 24 beer samples, hors d’oeuvres by LTB Concepts’ Taverna Greek Grill, free parking and an early entrance at 12 p.m.
