What inspired you to take part in the Taste of the NFL’s Party with a Purpose? We are involved and committed with the food bank here in Buffalo, so when we had the opportunity to join with the chefs and Taste of the NFL it was a great chance for us to help even more.
Any hints as to what you’ll be dishing up at the party? We will be serving up a Buffalo-inspired sushi roll.
Say you’re hosting a Super Bowl party. What dish do you serve to guests? Something different. Paella perhaps, or a great chowder.
Have you always had a passion for the culinary arts? How did you get your start? I am very fortunate. I knew from a very early age I wanted to cook. I’ve never had another job. I started as a busboy. I was really bad at it. They had to put me in the kitchen so I wouldn’t do any damage.
What do you love most about what you do? Food. I love being in restaurants in general, both working and as a diner.
What are your goals for the coming year? Keep improving and growing.
What food bank are you representing? Food bank of Buffalo, NY

Favorite Super Bowl memory: The first time I went to the Taste of the NFL in L.A. the Bills were playing. I met so many great people.
Favorite sports-watching snack: It’s embarrassing, but I love Cheddar Combos ( and pizza).
Favorite cocktail to whip up for Super Bowl guests: Ice-cold Canadian beer is a natural around here.
