Opened on Dec. 2, True Food Kitchen is growing its popular organic cold-pressed juice store, Juby True, with a second location but first stand-alone store along Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor. All Juby juices will be pressed daily for delivery to Valley True Food Kitchen restaurants, other local FRC restaurants, and the airport. The popular juice spot will serve guests with a wide selection of 100-percent organic cold-pressed juices. Complementing Juby True’s juice variety, the juice spot will offer superfood meal-replacement smoothies, coffees and teas, and health-minded snacks. Additionally, for the first time, Juby True Arcadia will serve a vast variety of grab-and-go energizing salads.
RA Sushi has unveiled a completely new menu. The menu not only features 16 brand new food items (like appetizers, sushi rolls, hand rolls and entrees, including Edamame Wontons, a Pineapple Shrimp Roll, and Black Pepper Sirloin Steak), it has also been totally redesigned. Now rather than receiving multiple sheets of paper, seasonal menus, etc, everything has been combined into one easy-to-navigate book.
Spicy food meets artsy fun at the Practical Art studio in Phoenix, where they are pairing with Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup to host a festive, food-filled painting party on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. Guests are invited to hand paint their own custom-made cazuela, or Mexican-style clay cooking pot, similar to the cazuelas served with Gadzooks signature cooked-to-order enchiladas (pictured).
To celebrate its one-year anniversary, on Dec. 10 and 11, get a large, signature pepperoni pizza for just $6 at the Papa Murphy’s locations at 6825 N. 16th St. Ste. 7 or 3320 W. Bethany Home Rd. Ste. 102 in Phoenix. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Limit two per person.
Tuck Shop’s been serving Phoenicians comfort food for six years , and in celebration of their continued success, they’ve designed a special “mix-tape” style menu featuring their most popular dishes from over the years. Available through Feb. 1, the menu is chock-full of favorite guest starters like fresh Arizona dairymen cheese curds and parsnip and potato poutine as well as flavorful full-size entrees like chicken and waffles and Pine, AZ spiced steak.
Wasted Grain in Scottsdale hosts a huge Prohibition party tomorrow, Dec. 5, planned to be the restaurant’s biggest event of the year. For more details, visit wastedgrain.com.
Dec. 8 through Dec. 12, Sunfare gourmet meal delivery will host its fourth annual Door-To-Door Holiday Food Drive, supporting Waste Not AZ. (Waste Not AZ is a local nonprofit organization that rescues and transfers 7,000 pounds of food each day to Valley families in need.) Clients of Sunfare’s meal delivery service can simply leave their donation on their doorstep to be picked up during their weekly Sunfare delivery, while the general public can leave their food at Sunfare’s corporate office, 811 W. Deer Valley Rd. in Phoenix. All food drive participants will be entered into an giveaway where winners will receive a weeks worth of free Sunfare gourmet meal deliveries.
Pita Jungle hosts “Empty Bowls” fundraiser in which guests at the restaurants can purchase hand-crafted, clay bowls created by local artisans, to benefit local nonprofit, Waste Not. Fourteen metro-Phoenix Pita Jungle locations will sell a limited quantity of bowls through Dec. 7. The bowls are custom made by Arizona Clay Association artists and will be sold for $15 each, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Waste Not. Guests who purchase a bowl will receive their choice of a serving of soup, or a small order of hummus, for carryout or dine-in.
