In honor of National Margarita Day on Feb. 22, Taco Guild (featured) in Phoenix will be offering all-you-can-eat tacos and one free 1893 Margarita for $19.95. The promotion launches on the 22nd, but will continue every Sunday indefinitely from 3 p.m. to close.
Also on National Margarita Day, El Jimador Tequila and Casa Herradura Tequila are taking over the OH Pool at Scottsdale’s Hotel Valley Ho for a daytime party that’s free and open to the public (21 and over). Complete with mariachi, a live DJ, cocktail samples, tequila education stations, and food pairings from the resort’s executive chef, Charles Wiley, this Latin-themed fiesta is a great way to celebrate the cocktail. Attendees will be able to sample various margarita cocktails, from spicy to sweet and everything in between, while learning about the history of the margarita and how it’s evolved throughout the years. Specials on full margarita cocktails will be available as well. This event caps off Arizona Cocktail Week at the Hotel Valley Ho and kicks off pool season for Hotel Valley Ho.
On Feb. 23, ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho features Wente Vineyards at its Monday Night Chef’s Table with a four-course menu. Starts at 6:30 p.m; $64 plus tax and tip. To RSVP, call 480.421.7997.
Set to take place the day after The Oscars on Monday, Feb. 23, Gilbert’s Liberty Market hosts the “Food in Films” Community Dinner that pull inspiration from classic Hollywood films, international cinematic masterpieces, and cult classics to create a six-course meal. There will be a cocktail and wine pairing lineup to compliment the six courses, drawing on the old Hollywood glamour of a 1950’s celebrity-studded cocktail party. The dinner is open to the public with sign up at the Liberty Market Strada Bar. Limited seating is available for up to 30 people. Dinner will take place at 6:30 p.m. beginning with an aperitif and moving into the first course. Cost for dinner is $65 per person, and an additional $25 per person with beverage pairings.
Food Truck Caravan, which is held every Saturday night from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on the northwest corner of 5th Ave. and Goldwater in Scottsdale, will welcome a special performance from Cirque Adventure, the acrobatic thrill show and family circus, on Saturday, Feb. 21. The show includes aerial acts, aerial silks, aerial rope, Lyra (aerial ring), trampoline act, contortion, acrobatics and more. (No animal acts.) The food truck lineup for is: Aioli Gourmet Burgers, Queso Good, Frank’s, Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse, Roadriggers, The Grilled Cheese Truck, Saffron JAK, Sugarjam Bakeshop, Chocolade von Bruge and Udder Delights.
Bootleggers and Uncle Bear’s Brewery is hosting an Arizona Beer Week Finale dinner with live comedy on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. Expect an evening of of laughter, four delicious barbecue-inspired courses and craft brew pairings. This dinner will be available for 30 guests and with tickets at $45.
Celebrate National Chili Day, Thursday, Feb. 26 at Texaz Grill in Phoenix and big bowl of chili of Texas red chili. In celebration of National Chili Day, Texaz Grill is offering all you can eat chili for $7.50 (no sharing, to-go, or doggie bags).
