All month long–in honor of St. Patty’s Day–Fox Restaurant Concepts’ The Henry and Olive and Ivy will be featuring a signature St. Patty’s Day themed cocktail: the Irish toddy.
Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill is helping St. Baldrick’s raise money for kids with cancer by asking the public to nominate those they know to shave their heads. (St. Baldrick’s is a childhood cancer charity funding the most promising research to help find cures for kids with cancer.) Thirsty Lion’s head-shaving event is a fun way to bring awareness to a very serious issue. On Saturday, March 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Thirsty Lion in Tempe will be taking donations and shaving people’s heads.

LON’s at the Hermosa’s next “pop-up” wine dinner is slated for Wednesday, March 18 at Lon’s underground wine cellar. The four-course dinner event (and reception) will feature co-founder Juelle Fisher and her daughter and winemaker Whitney Fisher of Fisher Vineyards. Del Frisco’s Grille in Phoenix is serving up an all-new weekly fish & chips special. Served for both lunch and dinner, Fish & Chips Friday features a hearty portion hand-beer-battered northern Atlantic haddock, a lean white fish similar to cod, but boasting a mild sweet flavor. DFG’s Fish & Chips Fridays are available for both lunch $16.50 and dinner $24, through Friday, April 3.
Humble Pie Pizza Kierland (March 14) and Peoria (March 17 and 21) is offering a Pizza-Making Camp for Kids during spring break–for $10. The locally owned restaurant will teach your kids all about the pizza-making process, including how to make mozzarella, how to throw a little dough and how to create their own masterpieces. When the class is done and they’ve “graduated,” each child will receive a $10 gift card to use during their next visit, as well as an apron and a hat. On Tuesday, March 17, you can share a slice of pie with legendary hall of famer, Tommy Lasorda, at the Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Peoria. The baseball legend will be hosting a book signing of his book, Tommy Lasorda: My Way, an authorized biography at his favorite pizza joint in the Valley. Books start at $24.95 and attendees will get to meet Lasorda himself. Those coming to the event can meet and greet Lasorda from 6 to 8 p.m.
Napa Valley’s historic Frank Family Vineyards will collaborate with Chef Kevin Binkley for a special five-course wine event at Binkley’s on Monday, March 16. Kale & Clover: Mindful Kitchen is offering neighbors a tasty way to get their caffeine in style all month long—for the month of March, coffee lovers can get a cup of joe–free–from 7 to 11 a.m. Kale & Clover uses locally roasted coffee beans from Espresso Italia in Tempe. (Limit one small coffee per day, per customer. Does not include espresso drinks or teas.)
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on March 14, enjoy Vistancia’s fourth annual Food Truck Experience at the master planned community in Peoria. The premier West Valley food truck event is free and open to the public. Guests can enjoy 12 food trucks including Luncha Libre (Arizona-inspired Mexican food), Hey Joe! (Filipino street food,) and Naturally Sweet (natural and organic sweet treats) located throughout the community’s new home neighborhoods by builders Ashton Woods, Gehan Homes, Mattamy Homes, Meritage Homes, Ryland Homes, Shea Homes, Taylor Morrison, T.W.
