Two Brothers Tap House & Brewery be hiking Camelback Mountain with a Two Brothers keg on Saturday, Oct. 3 in an effort to raise funds for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and celebrate the October launch of the brewery at Two Brothers Tap House & Brewery in Scottsdale. The public is invited to gather at the base of the Cholla Trailhead at 7 a.m. to help the Two Brothers team carry a keg to the top, and meet members of the newest brewery in town at the 1,300-foot summit between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a memorable photo opp and the chance to help a local organization. Two Brothers will donate $1 to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital for each person who signs the empty keg. Additionally, hikers who share a photo with the keg on social media using the hashtag #2BrosCamelbackKeg will be entered to win a Two Brothers Tap House & Brewery keg and will also receive a VIP invitation to the brewery launch party, taking place at the Two Brothers Tap House & Brewery at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15.
The 7 Chef Series continues on Oct. 4 with the 7 Chef Que-Out, a multi-course barbecue extravaganza from seven top Valley chefs. Hosted at Chef Cullen Campbell’s newest restaurant, Okra Cookhouse & Cocktails, the Que-Out will feature eats from Gregory Weiner, Justin Beckett, Stephen Jones, Cullen Campbell, Kelly Fletcher, Bernie Kantak, and Scott Holmes, each contributing a course to the experience. The Wing Counter is giving away wings for an entire year. The first 25 people in line on Friday, Oct. 2, Saturday, Oct. 3 and Sunday, Oct. 4 will receive six wings each week for one year. The first 25 people will be officially “counted” in line each of these days at 10:30 a.m. (store opening). Each winner must be 18 years of age or older. Recipient will receive a stamp card that will be marked in store by a Wing Counter employee, each week to redeem their wings. Missed weeks by the winners will not be redeemed or made up later. Taco Guild will celebrate National Taco Day on Oct. 4 with pink tacos to support Don’t Be a Chump! Check For a Lump!, a Phoenix-based charity that, among other things, provides wigs for women undergoing chemotherapy. Half of all taco sales on National Taco Day will go directly to Don’t Be a Chump. The restaurant will serve its full menu all day, with all tortillas being dyed pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Taco Guild, which is known for its craft drinks, also will feature a pink drink, with half the proceeds benefitting the charity.
