Hope you’re hungry! This weekend, the Valley welcomes three food-focused events that are sure to get your taste buds prepped for the holiday season.
Cooks & Corks, a celebration of local cuisine, wine and the arts, will return to the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North on Friday, Nov. 6. Presented by the Scottsdale League for the Arts and Earnhardt Cadillac, the charitable organization that hosts the annual Scottsdale Culinary Festival, this outdoor event spotlights Arizona’s top local chefs–like Christopher Nicosia of SASSI, Matt Carter of Zinc Bistro, The Mission, and House Brasserie, Silvana Salcido Esparza of Barrio Café, Mel Mecinas of Four Seasons and many more–and a world-class collection of wines, fine spirits and craft beers. Joe Costello Syndicate band and Jared Blackstone will perform live. There will also be live performances by local arts organizations including the Scottsdale Community Players and Movement Source. General Admission to Cooks and Corks is $125 and that includes unlimited food and drink samples throughout the event. (pictured)
Queen Creek’s Bacon, Blues & Brews Festival is set for 1 to 10 pm Saturday, Nov. 7, at Founders Park. The family-friendly celebration of craft beer, blues music and, of course, bacon will feature an array of inventive bacon-based dishes from chefs from around the Valley. Headlining the festival country music sensation Maggie Rose, while Ashley Wineland, Matt Farris and the Arizona Moonshine Band will also take to the stage. From ice-cold craft beers from breweries like Nebraska Brewing Company, Destihl and North Mountain Brewing Company to lively tunes, Bacon, Blues & Brews offers something to satisfy every appetite (there will be non-bacon-infused food items, too). A kids zone will be running for kids of all ages from 1 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 during presale and $12 at the door. The event is free for children under 12.
With an appearance by celebrity chef Graham Elliot, the azcentral.com Food & Wine Experience, presented by Cadillac, tempts the taste buds of Valley foodies on Nov. 7 and 8 at the north exterior of Scottsdale Fashion Square. Angie and Ruth McCartney of Mrs. McCartney’s Organic Teas and social media sensation Jenn Bare are slated to take part in the event, as are more than 25 of the Valley’s top chefs, including James Beard Foundation Award winners Christopher Gross, Robert McGrath and Nobuo Fukuda, who will provide eats for the Grand Tasting Experience. At least 30 craft brewers and wine and spirits experts will also be doling out the goods.
