We know how vital it is to get in our daily servings of fruits and veggies–and to be sure to make them organic. But that can cost a fortune, and the average neighborhood grocery store might not carry the organic varieties you’re hoping for. Fortunately, there is an affordable service out there that bring organic goods right to your front door.
Farmbox Direct is a door-to-door service that brings the freshest vegetables and fruits directly from organic farms. Farmbox Direct was founded by Ashley Tyrner in an effort to provide her daughter with the highest quality fruits and vegetables while balancing her schedule of being a working single mom. There are three different seasonal box sizes to choose that can be received weekly. Farmbox Direct allows the boxes to be customized, meaning you can substitute items in your box.
Upon receiving a sample of Farmbox Direct, we were pleased by the variety of fresh fruit and veggies: apples, pears, oranges, asparagus, onions, a green bell pepper, tomatoes, large heads of cauliflower and broccoli. In addition to having the juicy fruits as snacks (the apples especially were delicious), we simply roasted most of the veggies for two meals, as they were so tasty, they didn’t need much frill. Plus, the package came with a recipe suggestion.
Apart from being healthy and delicious, of course, a benefit of Farmbox Direct is tempting you and your family to try fruits and vegetables that you might not other purchase at the store. If a green bell pepper is taking residence in your fridge because it was sent to you in your package, you will give it a go.
Options include the new All Natural box for max $45; the Organic box for max $65 (small, medium and large sizes are available for the All Natural and Organic boxes, depending on if your cooking for yourself, a couple or a large family); and a new option for making fresh organic juices for about $50. Farmbox Direct is now also shipping nationwide, via FedEx.
