Biltmore Fashion Park is home to multiple top-rated eateries, and the latest dining concept to join its impressive lineup of restaurants is no exception. Ambrogio15, the award-winning restaurant group out of San Diego, will open its sixth concept at Biltmore Fashion Park in December, bringing Valley residents and visitors a striking dining experience serving Milanese fare.
The all-new modern restaurant will feature an extensive menu of authentic Italian cuisine handcrafted by one of Italy’s top Michelin-starred chefs, Silvio Salmoiraghi, as well as Ambrogio15’s globe-straddling selection of boutique natural wines displayed inside a 2,000 bottle, two-story wine tower carved right into the heart of the restaurant, plus an extensive cocktail menu designed by world-famous mixologist Marco Russo.
Founded by two friends and fellow Milan natives, Andrea Burrone and Giacomo Pizzigoni, Ambrogio15 first launched in 2016 in San Diego’s Pacific Beach and quickly won a reputation for its gourmet Milanese-style pizzas that feature a special paper-thin crust. Now home to five unique restaurants across Greater San Diego and the soon-to-open Phoenix location, Ambrogio15 has also expanded its menus to include a wide variety of modern and classic Italian dishes with a twist, all designed by Chef Salmoiraghi and his business partner chef, Choi Cheolyeok.
“We wanted to bring an all-new concept out to Phoenix, and we are super thrilled to be bringing Ambrogio15 to the Biltmore neighborhood, which is known for being luxurious and stylish.” says Ambrogio15 Co-Founder Andrea Burrone. “Our Italian roots, combined with what we have learned in the San Diego market has prepared us for this exciting adventure!”
From their famed pizzas and pastas, to Italian-style steaks and seafood, Ambrogio15 will bring modern Italian cuisine to the Biltmore area through the lens of head chef Fabio Pizzigoni, who formerly worked at the Park Plaza London Riverbank. Guests will enjoy locally-sourced, authentic Italian appetizers, a raw bar serving oysters and crudo, signature pasta made in-house, incredible cuts of meat and seafood and Ambrogio15’s famous, gourmet pizzas crafted with hand-washed flour imported from a 191-year-old family-run flour mill in Italy.
Guests will also enjoy table-side “shows” where homemade pasta and flaming tomahawk steak are prepared at the table, as well as an extensive craft cocktail list with about 15 signature cocktails created by mixologist Marco Russo, owner of Bar 1930 in Milan, which has been consistently ranked among the World’s 50 Best Bars for the last five years.
Ambrogio15 will open for lunch and dinner on the west side of Biltmore Fashion Park inside the space formerly occupied by California Pizza Kitchen and will feature a soaring, sleek and wood-lined ambiance inspired by the owners’ hometown of Milan. The 145-seat restaurant will boast a glowing two-story glass façade, lively lounge featuring the towering central wine tower, a main dining area with leather-wrapped booths and a posh 12-person private dining room for an omakase-style experience featuring its own dedicated bar.
