Chinese-Korean fusion restaurant Jin Jia is the latest upscale dining establishment to open at Desert Ridge Marketplace. This modern Chinese-Korean concept is brought to life by HL Concepts in collaboration with ALINE Architecture Concepts. The menu features Asian cuisine with a modern flair.
HL Concepts and ALINE Architecture Concepts worked together to create an atmosphere inspired by a Chinese lantern festival. “The goal was to create a highly crafted design with Chinese cultural influence,” says ALINE Principal Brian Laubenthal.
The stunning architecture and interior design amplify your meal with a beautiful atmosphere. Dark red and black decor enhances the intimate and luxurious dining experience. The entry features lanterns in wood framed boxes on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. A massive gold fortune cookie statue exemplifies the luxurious and modern flair to traditional Asian cuisine. The restrooms showcase more lanterns and red lacquer walls reflected in mirrors.
This elevated fusion cuisine will combine the rich flavors of Chinese and Korean dishes with a modern twist. Jin Jia brought in celebrity chefs all the way from South Korea to bring authentic Korean flavors to Phoenix. Head Chef Hyung Jin Choi was previously the Executive Chef at PF Changs and Pei Wei. HL Concepts founder and Executive Chef Hyunwook Lee is the man behind NORI, Sizzle Korean BBQ and Shinbay. Lee is passionate about creating high quality dishes, with an emphasis in Korean, Japanese and Asian fusion cuisine.
The menu is full of carefully crafted Chinese-Korean fusion cuisine, like noodles, meat dishes and bao buns. Some menu items include Genghis-Kahn Beef, Chili Garlic Fried Chicken, Mango Prawn and King Crab Egg Drop Soup.
Desert Ridge welcomed several new dining spots this year including Artichoke Pizza, Spitz Mediterranean Street Food, Dirty Dough, Cartel Roasting Co. and Fat Tuesday. A new law allowing shoppers to sip on alcoholic beverages while at the mall encourages more traffic.
