Enjoying a plant-based meal in the comfort of your home just got easier for Phoenix residents. Thistle, the leading ready-to-eat, plant-forward meal delivery service, now operates in the metro Phoenix area, bringing nourishing and planet-friendly meals directly to consumers’ doorsteps.

Known for its delicious, plant-forward menus, Thistle is committed to making healthy, plant-based meals incredibly convenient, accessible and irresistible for customers. Valley residents can now experience Thistle’s helpful, chef-crafted meals for the first time through its at-home, subscription-based weekly delivery service.

Crafted by both chefs and nutritionists, Thistle’s meals are intentionally designed to promote well-being without compromising on flavor and are sustainably sourced. The unique meal design reflects scientific, evidence-based principles of dietary choices and features real, whole, plant-rich foods, such as fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes and whole grains, that pack every dish with nutrients, phytochemicals and antioxidants. All Thistle meals are gluten-free, dairy-free and organic when possible; however, sustainably-sourced animal protein options are also available to further cater to health-conscious consumers seeking nutrient-dense food. 

Thistle’s weekly menus offer a variety of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options, plus juices and sides for every day of the week. A weekly menu sample features breakfast items such as a Blue Wildflower Smoothie, Almond Mango Crisp, Morning Glory Chia Muesli and Savory Polenta Bowl with Chimichurri, while lunch options can include Sunflower Satay Noodles, Creamy Lemon-Goji Salad and Green Grain Taco Salad. Dinner items range from a Blistered Tomato & Pesto Pasta, Burmese Khow Suey and Jamaican Jerk Squash Bowl to an Umami Mushroom & Lemon Miso Bowl and a Cuban-inspired Mojo plate. For snacks, customers can enjoy the 24 Carrot Gold Muffin, Tiramisu Mousse Cup, Caramelized Cauliflower Hummus and more.  

Before creating Thistle, Co-Founders Ashwin Cheriyan and Shiri Avnery, PhD saw two generational problems: the declining health of the population and the planet. They pointed to a single solution: Eat more plants. Cheriyan and Avnery founded Thistle in 2013 with a mission to make it easy to get and stay healthy, while also improving the sustainability of the food system.
