Sometimes it’s just too hot to be in the kitchen cooking dinner – and for those looking for a unique meal (that also boasts a glass of wine or two), the Valley has a plethora of restaurants offering wine and cocktail dinners to finish out the summer season and head into fall – with full bellies, of course! August 14
Heaven Hill Cocktail Dinner
Fat Ox, 6316 N. Scottsdale Road

Join Fat Ox for a night of handcrafted specialty cocktails brought to guests by Stevie Raeann and Heaven Hill Brands – all paired with a four-course menu by award-winning Chef Matt Carter. Dishes include Caledonian blue prawn, Kabocha squash caramelle and Linz prime short rib with porcini black garlic crust, fig jam, sunchoke, gorgonzola and black pepper. Neighborhood Parties
The Neighborly, 5538 N. 7th St., Phoenix

The third Thursday of the month turns into a party at The Neighborly. This month, the eatery is partnering with Noble Bread to offer custom food and wine pairings to guests. Dishes include pork terrine, panzanella salad and truffle chicken, served with wines from across the globe. Reservations are available from 6-8 p.m. and cost $50 per person.

Taco Night with Dii IINÁ’
Quartz Bar, 341 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix

Taco Night with Dii IINÁ is an educational dining experience that uses local and Indigenous food growers to promote food sovereignty. Guests can enjoy bison tacos and local farm accouterments crafted by renowned chef Alan Moore while sipping on paired cocktails from mixologists Danielle Goldtooth and Aspen Bingham. All ingredients are indigenously or locally sourced, ensuring a truly authentic and flavorful evening. This evening, Dii IINÁ will bring guests a unique educational dining experience featuring local and indigenous food growers. Enjoy a handpicked family-style meal curated to highlight Arizona’s monsoons and learn about the effects our ever-changing climate has on rainfall, ingredients, and the ecosystems that help us get ingredients to tables. Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 for two people and include three drinks per person from a special secret menu curated by the mixologists. RSVP

Roman Wine Dinner

Discover the culinary heritage of Italy’s capital at our Roman Wine Dinner. Enjoy a selection of authentic Roman dishes, each prepared with traditional techniques and ingredients. Complete your meal with an optional wine pairing that highlights the best of Roman viticulture. August 26
Desde México, Con Amor: A Mexican Spirits & Wine Dinner
Gallo Blanco, 928 E. Pierce St. Phoenix

Gallo Blanco, Otro Café and Tesota are coming together with Compa Spirits for a night of mezcal-focused cocktails paired with a five-course dinner. Chefs Doug Robson, Jared Porter (Tesota), Carlos Diaz (Gallo Blanco) and Hernan Pliego (Otro Café) and Pastry Chef Amanda Hepler have hand crafted a specialty menu that features empanadas de vegetales, tomato and melon panzanella, cóctel de pulpo and porchetta and pistachio tres leches. Dishes will be paired with wine from Valle de Guadalupe & San Luis Potosi and Spirits from Oaxaca. The dinner takes place at 6 p.m. starting at $100 per person for guests 21 and up. RSVP.

Taste of Italy Wine Dinner

Starting with authentic family recipes from chef Jeremy Pacheco, Campo uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients, cooked with local, organic foods from Arizona producers. This four-course dinner will include dishes like tomato granita, Ora king salmon crudo, zucchini noodles, roasted Chilean lamb leg and black plum crostata. Wines come from different regions of Italy. Dinner starts at 6 p.m., and the cost is $90 per person.

Daou Vineyards and Winery Dinner

Join us for a specialty menu created by Chef Carter paired with Daou wines, available for one night only. The pairing will include Soul of a Lion and a limited winery-only surprise. Dishes include dry-aged otror, Cocks Comb ravioli, Linz NY Strip, and an espresso chocolate frittelle with stracciatella gelato and Amarena cherry for dessert. Exclusive Wine Dinner

If you’d like to learn more about Daou Wines or are just in the mood for a fine dining experience, look no further than Phoenix City Grille. This evening’s offerings include four courses paired with Daou wines. Charred eggplant, duck confit and a house-made donut are on the menu. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. Registration is $110 per person.
