Hi Noon Hospitality has unveiled its plans for Pinyon, an innovative Mediterranean-inspired restaurant set to open in fall 2025. The restaurant will deliver a vibrant and immersive culinary experience, steeped in the rich flavors and traditions of the Mediterranean region. With a focus on community, heritage, and exceptional taste, Pinyon aims to become a go-to destination for all palates.
The name “Pinyon” comes from the founder’s travels. Adam Strecker, the visionary behind Hi Noon, took inspiration from a memorable journey across the Mediterranean’s diverse coastal landscapes, in countries such as Turkey, Italy, France, Malta, Greece, Spain, and Morocco. During his travels, Strecker discovered a pine nut tree similar to the pinyon trees found in the Southwest United States.
The pine nut, an essential ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine for generations, symbolizes endurance and tradition. This symbolism is central to Pinyon’s mission of offering dishes that honor both the timeless flavors and the cultural connections of the area.
“At Pinyon, our goal is to provide more than just a meal,” Strecker said. “We aim to offer our guests an authentic Mediterranean experience that highlights the region’s rich culinary traditions while fostering a sense of community, one plate at a time.”
Situated along a park, the restaurant will feature a spacious patio, perfect for enjoying the Arizona weather with a refreshing Aperol aperitivo or a lively spirit in hand. The design will embrace the warmth of Mediterranean culture, offering an inviting space for guests to relax and connect over exceptional food.
The menu will showcase diverse and bold flavors, blending traditional cooking techniques like open-flame grilling with a fresh, modern twist. From Barcelona to Malta, each dish will celebrate the unique culinary practices of over twenty countries. Guests can look forward to a wide range of options, including freshly prepared pita, crudos, handmade pasta, seasonal salads, and a rotating selection of spreads and dips.
