On Saturday, Sept. 4, The Sixth Annual Phoenix Cooks will take over JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort for a special culinary event that will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This year’s theme is “Where Food Happens!” More than 50 of the Valley’s most excellent restaurants, as well as wineries and beer and spirit distributors, will be sampling their goods. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy cooking classes (which you must pre-register and purchase tickets for) and cooking demos. There will also be a 33,000-sq.-ft. marketplace to pick up all your cooking essentials.
This year, Phoenix Cooks welcomes a few new events. The 1st Annual Latte Art Throw-down will showcase local coffee baristas competing and showcasing their artistic coffee making skills. Football fans will enjoy the new SRP Green College Football Tailgating Zone where fans can watch the day’s college games broadcasted on energy efficient televisions while indulging in gourmet tailgating treats and eco-friendly Alaskan Brewing IPA beer.
