On Monday, Oct. 4, Edible Phoenix and Slow Food Phoenix will come together to bring the Valley the third annual Arizona Farmer+Chef Connection. The event, which takes places from 1 to 6 p.m. at Scottsdale’s Intercontinental Montelucia Resort, intends to create collaboration and wholesale direct market opportunities between local farmers, ranchers, chefs and other food buyers.
The event begins with the opportunity to network, swap stories and sample dishes. Then, guests will be addressed by keynote speaker Joe Colyn from Originz in Michigan. Lastly, there will be four breakout sessions: Using Social Media, Using the Whole Animal, Telling Your Sustainable Story and Greening Your Operations.
Arizona Farmer+Chef Connection is $25 to attend, plus a $10 discount for educators. Those interested in taking part can register at http://fcc.eventbrite.com/.
