The Capital Grille has partnered with Tuscan winemaker Castello Banfi for a series of wine dinners, starting today and ending on April 5. This series will the mark the United States debut of the winery’s 2005 BelnerO Sangiovese di Montalcino, a wine that is described as an “innovative, terroir-driven wine, a significant departure in style from Montalcino’s traditional, varietal reds.”
To get a taste of this anticipated wine and some of The Capital Grille’s Italian-inspired dishes, reserve your spot at one of the five-course wine dinners. The menu will include:
creamy porcini mushroom soup garnished with chive oil
swordfish roasted inside parchment paper with white wine, roasted tomatoes, oil-cured olives and capers
herb-marinated, dry-aged tenderloin with garlic, roasted tomatoes, red peppers and cipollini onions
black truffle mac and cheese
The five-course feast is $49 per person. And while you at The Capital Grille, order up its pan-fried calamari–it’s some of my favorite calamari in town. 16489 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, 480.348.1700; 2502 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix, 602.952.8900 (Biltmore Fashion Park). www.thecapitalgrille.com.

Yum! The swordfish sounds so tasty and the tenderloin just looks delicious in the photo! Plus $49 per person is a pretty good deal for a five-course feast!
That swordfish looks so appetizing. It doesn’t help that it is close to lunchtime either.
I cannot believe I have never been to the Capital Grille. I see it almost every day in North Scottsdale but have never gone! The swordfish looks amazing, actually that whole dinner sounds pretty good!
Wow is sounds incredible. I love food, and this sounds like an amazing menu! The price is so reasonable too for what you get with the meal. This will be the next date night spot!!!
