Burger lovers are more than familiar with The Grind, a Phoenix restaurant that has made many “bests” lists due to its coal-fired burgers and incredible old-fashioned cocktails. Well, the team behind The Grind are at it again as Allen and Traci Thompson, owners of The Grind, opened their second concept, Chick Rotisserie & Wine Bar, last week. “We’re excited to bring a new and different concept to Phoenix,” says the Thompsons. “We’ve yet to find anything like Chick Rotisserie & Wine Bar in the United States. All of the meats will be cooked to perfection on a special rotisserie rack and Chef Bevin O’Neil has created some delicious glazes and marinades for the meat. We’re also anticipating a large to-go business since our organic, hormone-free chickens can be sold as an entire bird with two sides for less than $30.”
Chick Rotisserie & Wine Bar is located next door to The Grind in the Arcadia Village shopping center on the southwest corner of Camelback and 40th Street and boasts an aesthetic that is both modern and cozy, with rotisserie racks being the centerpiece of the restaurant. Chick Rotisserie & Wine Bar serves lunch and dinner daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. “The lunch and dinner menu will feature a variety of meats such as savory chicken, pork, ribs, duck, brisket and prime rib,” the owners say. In addition, Chick’s Chef Bevin O’Neil will make homemade cinnamon rolls, buttermilk cheese biscuits, chicken and dumplings, crème brulee and pies alongside fresh salads, sandwiches and wraps, homemade soups and weekly blackboard specials.
In addition to delicious eats, Phoenix’s Chick Rotisserie & Wine Bar will offer craft beers, cocktails, a long wine list and a Wine VIP Club, where guests can sign up to receive special discounts and attend wine tasting events. http://chickrotisseriebar.com/.
