I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Brunch is my favorite meal. Breakfast + dessert = awesome. This weekend, three of the Valley’s top chefs are getting together for a brunch to remember. Edible Exchange, described as a “a local food hub whose mission is to connect communities to local food through education and barter,” hosts a FarmTable Brunch at Superstition Farm in Mesa on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Matt Carter of Zinc Bistro and The Mission; Beau MacMillan of elements at Sanctuary and Aaron May and Praying Monk and Over Easy will be whipping up a four-course feast using delectable dairy from Superstition Farm. Here’s a look at the menu:
Matt Carter: Crab and Ham Hock Crepe with Guaillio Chili Hollandaise.
Aaron May: Frittata with Sausage, Peppers, Onions and Superstitions Farm Ricotta Cheese and Tomato Salad
Beau MacMillan: Banana Breakfast Brulee with Passion Fruit Curd and Salted Carmel
Apart from this remarkable meal, guests will also enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, farm games, a photo booth, farm schwag bag and get a tour of the farm and garden, learn how to churn butter, hop on a hayride and more.
Tickets are $75 plus gratuity and tax per person and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Desert Willow Educational Garden. To save your spot (there are a limited number of seats), RSVP to Lori Baker at 480.443.0322 or via email at lori@bartergroup.com. www.edibleexchange.com.
