It’s official: Manolo Blahnik has collaborated with J. Crew on a line of shoes. The surprise came at J.Crew’s York Fashion Week show February 14, with Blahnik’s coveted BB style heels set to sell online and in stores.
The display at the catwalk presentation featured 41 reworkings of the popular shoe in glitter, suede and colorful motifs inspired by the J.Crew apparel line. All colors and prints will be exclusive to J.Crew.
Manolo Blahnik USA president George Malkemus told Footwear News the collaboration had been months in the works, and began when J.Crew’s executive creative director Jenna Lyons “fell in love” with the Spanish creator’s BB shoe.

While release dates have not yet been finalized, the shoes are expected to sell online and in select J.Crew stores under the Blahnik name, with prices beginning at $595. Fittingly, the shoes go perfectly with J.Crew’s fall collection.
Blahnik isn’t new to collaborating with brands, with having shared labels with the likes of Carolina Herrera and Zac Posen. What do you think about the collaboration?
