Your Ultimate Guide to Celebrating the Fourth of July in Phoenix 2023

The Valley’s skies will soon be sparkling with dazzling colors as the community comes together to celebrate America’s Independence with fun-filled events, patriotic activities plus delicious food and drinks all weekend long. Get your red, white and blue ready because we’ve rounded up the Fourth of July events taking place in Phoenix for 2023, including the return of one of the biggest firework displays in the Southwest.

Phoenix

Fabulous Phoenix 4th

For the first time in four years, the Fabulous Phoenix 4th Independence Day celebration will return to Steele Indian School Park on Tuesday, July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with one of the biggest fireworks displays in the Southwest. The free annual Fourth of July event will attract thousands of attendees once again with highlights such as food, craft vendors, kid activities, as well as the highly-anticipated firework show that can be enjoyed anywhere from the park. Families are encouraged to bring water, coolers, shade devices and chairs.

Forty8 Live! Concert at Phoenix Events Complex

In honor of the Fourth of July weekend, Forty8 Live! is adding an epic fireworks show to its weekly Sunset Concert Series event held at the Phoenix Events Complex on July 1 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Rock-and-roll lovers are invited to enjoy music from tribute bands for The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd, as well as food trucks, a kids play area, and of course fireworks to end the night. FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel Independence Day Bash

Celebrate Independence Day weekend in style at FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel, which will be hosting a star-spangled celebration with Match Market & Bar on Saturday, July 1 from noon to 5 p.m. The poolside party will feature a DJ playing all the hottest summer songs, traditional BBQ eats, specialty cocktails, boozy popsicle treats and more. McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park 

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park’s Red, White and Choo & Choo Independence Day event takes place on Sunday, July 2 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with live music from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The fun-filled event will feature bounce houses, water slides, family games, face painting, mechanical bull rides, pie eating contests, food trucks, unlimited train and carousel rides, plus fireworks at 9 p.m. Families are welcome to bring their own picnics, too. Tickets are $15 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages 3–12 and free for 2 and under. 

W Scottsdale Splash & Sparklers Event

Join W Scottsdale for its “Splash and Sparklers” Fourth of July weekend-long celebration everyday beginning June 30 through July 4. The hotel WET Deck will feature live music, food and beverage specials everyday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., plus a night swim event for adults 21 and older on July 4 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., as well as a stunning fireworks display that will set off at 9 p.m. on Independence Day.  Tickets start at $25. WestWorld of Scottsdale

WestWorld of Scottsdale’s 10th annual Fourth of July event returns on Tuesday, July 4 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with live entertainment and family fun. The patriotic event will feature a dazzling fireworks show set against the backdrop of the McDowell Mountains beginning at 9 p.m., plus multiple attractions to enjoy leading up to fireworks, including bull riding, a slider-eating contest, circus performances, food, games, prizes and more. ADERO Scottsdale Resort’s Sparkling Fourth of July Dinner

Join ADERO in Scottsdale for a special Independence Day BBQ feast under the stars featuring bites featuring burgers, hot dogs and brats for $12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., plus an all-you-can-eat buffet from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests will also enjoy live music, poolside cocktails and a magnificent firework show over Fountain Lake at 9 pm. Anthem

Anthem’s Fourth of July Celebration

Anthem’s Independence Day celebration takes place on Monday, July 3 at Anthem Community Park from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with fireworks set to go off at 9 p.m. Families will enjoy rides, waterslides, festival food, a beer garden, music and dancing, a glitter tattoo station plus fabulous park viewing of the fireworks display. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. 

Avondale

Light Up the Sky Independence Day Celebration

Head out to Phoenix Raceway for Avondale’s Light Up the Sky Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., which will feature both general admission and VIP experiences, including tailgate parking, food trucks, a kid zone, live entertainment and more plus a 25-minute spectacular fireworks show slated to start at 8:25 p.m. General admission is free and VIP passes start at $50 for adults. Glendale 

Westgate Firework Fest

Salute to America’s independence at Westgate Entertainment District’s free patriotic celebration on July 4 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring live music, an open-air beer garden, dinner deals, a splash zone, face painting, games, classic fire trucks and a fireworks spectacular beginning at 9 p.m. 

Mesa

2023 Arizona Celebration of Freedom 

Head to downtown Mesa for the 2023 Arizona Celebration of Freedom event on Tuesday, July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., where families can enjoy picnic games, live entertainment such as a stunt and laser light show plus Revolutionary War reenactments, a food court, a naturalization ceremony for new U.S. citizens, inflatable water slides, a car show and more. A fireworks show will wrap up festivities at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Peoria

All American Festival

The annual All American Festival returns to the Peoria Sports Complex on Tuesday, July 4 from 5 to 10 p.m. with live entertainment from event headliners Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, as well as a performance from the Azz Izz Band. The Independence Day celebration will also feature a cornhole tournament, huge water slides, a sensory room, food and drink vendors and a fireworks show at 9:10 p.m. There will also be a one-hour Meet-and-Greet opportunity with Roger Clyne from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the ‘Sammy’s on 3rd’ outdoor terrace. Tempe 4th of July Celebration at Diablo Stadium

The 71st Annual Tempe 4th of July Celebration at Diablo Stadium returns on Tuesday, July 4 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with games, live music, a food court, family fun zone and fireworks at 9:15 p.m.  Fireworks are back at Tempe’s 71st annual Fourth of July celebration. There will be games, live music, a food court, a family fun zone and fireworks after 9:15 p.m. The July 4th celebration  raises funds to support local children and youth organizations in Arizona.
