Barrett-Jackson, renowned as The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction, is set to kick off in January with its legendary Scottsdale auction running from the 18-26 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Founded in 1971, Barrett-Jackson has earned a reputation as a leader in collector car auctions. Along with its flagship location, the auction is held in Palm Beach, Las Vegas, and New Orleans, attracting over 500,000 attendees annually.
The nine-day automotive extravaganza in Scottsdale is the season opener for the collector car community, offering a lineup of the world’s most desirable vehicles and authentic automobilia.
Kicking off the week is the second annual Rock the Block concert featuring Sammy Hagar and Friends on January 17. Tickets start at $89, with options for premium suites and limited meet-and-greet passes. Hagar, a legendary rock star with 25 platinum albums and a Grammy Award is known for his hits like “I Can’t Drive 55” and his connection to cars, including last year’s auctioning of a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari for a world record.
January 18 is Family Day, a celebration that welcomes kids and grownups to the auction with special activities. Children 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult. Family Day will include a variety of interactive exhibits, STEM-focused activities, and a chance for younger attendees to explore Barrett-Jackson’s Gearing Towards the Future initiative, a program designed in collaboration with the SciTech Institute.
From January 20 through January 26, Barrett-Jackson’s famed auction block will feature an impressive array of rare collector cars and automobilia. Among the standout vehicles are two custom Chevrolet Corvettes: a 1963 Split-Window Coupe and a 1967 Convertible, designed and built by renowned customizer Jeff Hayes. Also crossing the block will be a 2019 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, one of only 99 built globally and one of only 11 in the United States.
“Even before the excitement settled from our successful fall auction, our guests were already looking forward to the January event,” CEO Craig Jackson said. “We’re deep into preparing our flagship auction and are going full throttle, planning more interactive exhibits, live music, and, of course, a docket full of some of the most coveted collectible vehicles in the world.”
One of the event’s highlights is the Barrett-Jackson Cup Competition, where 50 custom vehicles, selected by industry legends Bobby Alloway and Troy Trepanier, will compete for top honors. These vehicles will be displayed throughout the week and open for public voting in the “People’s Choice” competition on social media. Each day will reveal a finalist, culminating in the announcement of the People’s Choice and Ultimate Best in Show awards on January 25.
“We have already revved up a wave of excitement for our January Scottsdale event,” President Steve Davis said. “From one of the most diverse dockets filled with vehicles for every type of collector to thrill rides in the latest sports cars, trucks, and SUVs from the world’s top manufacturers, we will ring in 2025 the Barrett-Jackson way.”
Those interested in bidding can register online, with exclusive opportunities for premium bidders and consignors. These VIP guests will also be invited to Barrett-Jackson’s prestigious Opening Night Gala on January 19. Tickets and hospitality packages are available for purchase through Barrett-Jackson’s website.
