The 2025 Playmakers Classic presented by Fanatics took place on February 18 at Warehouse215 in downtown Phoenix, delivering an unforgettable evening to support the youth development and other programs of the Players Trust, the charitable arm of the MLB Players Association.

The event featured close to 100 active and former Major League Players, including Diamondbacks Corbin Carroll, Bryce Jarvis, Gabriel Moreno and more. A momentous highlight was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement in Philanthropy award to Hall of Famer Dave Winfield. His enduring commitment to charitable endeavors has made a significant impact on communities while inspiring literally hundreds of other players.

This is the second time the Playmakers Classic event has been held in Arizona and packed the house with dozens and dozens of professional ballplayers of past and present, along with hundreds of other special guests who share the Players Trust’s commitment to making an impact in the lives of others through the power of sport.

From the moment guests entered into the event to the time they left, they were immersed in an exciting interactive experience featuring nonstop entertainment, interactive games, libations, an auction and more.  The event featured a live performance from Nashville artist Rob West, alongside engaging and friendly competitions such as casino games, a skee-ball contest, and long drive and putting challenges.

Cigar aficionados were treated to an exclusive lounge provided by Cedar Room Fine Cigars and Lounge, while beer, wine, and cocktail enthusiasts enjoyed a curated selection of beverages from Calidad Beer, wine by House of Brown, and premium liquors including Flecha Azul Tequila, Fraser and Thompson Whiskey and Aspen Vodka.

A silent auction showcasing unique experiences and memorabilia that appealed to collectors and enthusiasts alike also took place. From exclusive signed items to once-in-a-lifetime experience packages, the auction items contributed to the evening’s fundraising efforts.

The success of the 2025 Playmakers Classic underscores the importance of community support and collaboration. The funds raised will empower youth through sports and further the many other causes and lives championed by Major League Baseball Players.  To learn more, visit playerstrust.org or contact Senior Manager of Development Joe Kalar at jkalar@mlbpa.org.
