Each Mother’s Day, I try to think of something I can gift my mom that is special and unique, just like her. This Mother’s Day, mothers and loved ones can be honored with a commemorative brick, engraved with her name. Each brick will be placed along the walkway of the Jewell McFarland Lewis Women’s Resource Center in Phoenix.
Each personalized brick helps ensure that women and families in the local community will have access to support and education through the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.
Established in 2002, the foundation offers a variety of services to provide an all-encompassing support system for women, including: mentoring programs, an online job center, legal assistance services, a child watch center, and a wardrobe and grooming salon.
Each recipient will receive a packet for their gift with certificate explaining the significance of the brick and an invitation to an open house and brick unveiling that will take place in the fall.
Each brick is $100, where $80 of which is tax-deductible.
